Obviously there have been bigger shooting performances shown...but that was probably one of the MOST efficient scoring performances I have ever seen.

Missed 5 fucking shots and grabbed 16 rebounds 20-25 is just incredible.:wow:wow:wowHe should have had 3 more but they didn't count his bucket

I knew this was going to happen when Landry got traded. If he wouldn't have had to share minutes with Carl I think Scola would be averaging close to 20 pts and 10 rbds per game right now.

If they were a bad team, they wouldn't have won 33 games without any size in the post

Are they in the playoffs right now? He's good, but the numbers are very inflated playing for a bad team.

lol, you keep saying "bad team", you should know what that means. A team, is a cooperative unit, one that relies on each other to accomplish a certain goal. While their record is average, it in no way indicates that they are a bad team. They work together, play hard, no matter the results. The Lakers, on the other hand, are a "bad team" since Kobe is only focused on catching MJ, and blames his teammates for when things don't go right

Unlike the Spurs FO, I was not stupid enough to get rid of Scola. He's been a major help to my fantasy team.

And people were wondering why we traded Landry instead.

It seems that Scola has helped negate our loss of Landry, while the addition of Martin has turned our backcourt into an offensive explosion. Couple that with the fact that we have a very nice (and tall!) prospect in Jordan Hill, plus the Knicks next two picks, We should be sitting pretty with Yao in the lineup next year.

Forget Yao, let's use this year's lotto pick on Greg Monroe

The Scola disaster is going to echo down through the ages. Wishful thinking to think it's ever going away, or that people aren't going to want to talk about it for a long time coming.

Worst move by the Spurs FO ever. Definitely cost us a ring or two.

I have to agree.

Duncan and Scola would have tore shit up with Manu and TP.

There was a lot of excitement about how perfect a fit Scola would be before the trade went down, to say the least.
I'll never understand why we didn't invest at our peak but rather waited until we were on the downward slope to splash out on a eastern conference creampuff like RJ.
One could always play the 20-20 hindsight card, but I think a lot of fans could see this coming. Hard to believe "professionals" who have been around the game their entire lives and who get paid big bucks to think about basketball 24/7 could be so dumb.
That's life, as the chairman used to say.

Actually it was weird that the Spurs dumped him for Cap relief...only.....

Personally, I think they should have kept VSpan, he can play too...but pure cap relief....yikes.

It was the price to pay to get rid of the Jackie Butler contract... which we acquired when we got Nazr Mohammed from NY and ended up helping us win a 'ship...

Somehow I don't think the Rockets were interested in acquiring Bonner and Butler for VSpan and cash...
