I don't see a problem with this. I think he can pull this off with great success. Yeah, my thoughts are that this will be a hit. Hard to beat the latest big numbers but I would think it'd make money and that is the bottom line. Now it is up to the marketing department to get it done.

Evans was great in Sunshine, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Sunshine is one of the worst movies I have seen in my entire adult life. The ending was the most jumbled bunch of crap I have ever seen. I like Evans as an actor though.

Fantastic Four is getting a reboot and Evans won't be in it.

I can understand people not liking the third act, but it's a good film even though it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Hollywood lives up to Hollywood casting again. Way to go Hollywood.

They get a smartass boyish charm brah to play Serious Loyal Captain America. I guess Adrien Brody was taken.

Rather odd choice. After Downey and Norton for the first two movies it wasn't any big shock that they were going with smaller names for the Thor and Cap movies. I just figured they'd go with a relative unknown rather than a guy whose biggest roles to date were comic book movies that hadn't been very well received, especially by the purists.

I was kinda hoping John Krasinski would be cast. Thought it would have been an interesting direction and thought he could give the character the emotional weight some of the other "actors" rumored to be up for the role didn't have.

Evans is an interesting choice though.

I'm actually okay with this. My ideal choices would have been Aaron Eckhart or maybe Brad Pitt, but this should be fine. I'm also hearing rumors that Hugo Weaving is set to play the Red Skull, and I'm more than fine with that.

I just watched Street Kings again last night and there is no way I can see Evans as Capt. America.

I think that guy would have been a good choice also. Evans facial features are too soft to be cap and I'm not sure his voice will sell me on him being an extremely strong super soldier in world war 2.

Evans shouting "Avengers Assemble!" will be the worst thing about him playing the role eventually I think.

Who's playing Enchantress, Executioner, Radioactive Man, the Black Knight, and Nazi scientist Baron Heinrich Zemo....or will it be Ultron?

In the Human Torch story titled "Captain America" in Marvel Comics' Strange Tales #114 (November 1963),[9] writer-editor Stan Lee and artist and co-plotter Jack Kirby depicted the brash young Fantastic Four member Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, in an exhibition performance with Captain America, described as a legendary World War II and 1950s superhero who has returned after many years of apparent retirement. The 18-page story ends with this Captain America revealed as an impostor: it was actually the villain the Acrobat, a former circus performer the Torch had defeated in Strange Tales #106. Afterward, Storm digs out an old comic book in which Captain America is shown to be Steve Rogers. A caption in the final panel says this story was a test to see if readers would like Captain America to return.
