He made some very important baskets at the end of the 2nd qtr to help the Spurs get some momentum at the begining of the 3rd and closed the Thunder lead to 3 points :toast

So would your post count if the mods kept banning you to the spurstalk bench every other day.

Hope he keeps it up. At least he didn't hurt the team in the 2nd half. Bogans in the other hand, i think that guy takes the worst out of any player (SA) in the floor with him.

By Mason getting hot at the end of the 1st half, it kept the Spurs from having to come back from a double-digit lead in the 2nd half of a b2b game. That's when the legs are tired enough as it is. It was a major difference-maker.

It was really nice to have him finally shooting himself out of his slump. I would have gone with Hairston much sooner, but Pop showed patience and it paid off. We can always use a 'microwave' off the bench. Hopefully his shooting woes are behind him.

'microwave'.

Great description for what the Spurs need.

I'll take double-digit scoring from anybody outside of Manu/TD now... that said, I wish he would show up more often than once every 15 games or so...

Last year he was great the first half of the year, and then he disappeared. Now he's had a disapointing first half, maybe he can step it up for the rest of the season.

Not many games left but i can hope.

Mason Jr. played great tonight compared to his dismal production since the rodeo trip. Hopefully there's more to come and the Spurs are going to need all the help they can get against LA, Cleveland, and Boston coming up. We can't let Finley win the 3 point contest.

This is why Pop has been giving Mason PT the last several games even when he was struggling.. RMJ must feel better about himself being able to contribute the way he did.. hopefully he can build on this confidence .. the team needs everyone to step up and be ready to help when their name is called.. Mason did that tonight.

Richard was actually playing well for longer stretches before the last two games... he started well against the Hawks, then faded... today he stunk up the joint until the last quarter with a couple of good drives... he needs to push the issue and drive more. When he settles for jumpers and his shot is off, he becomes part of the problem, not the solution.

he looked like his old soft self tonight. but, maybe it was his knee givin him a little bit of problems out there or something because he didnt look like the RJ we have been accustomed to seeing these past couple weeks. he needs to stay aggressive at all times.

Hopefully his shooting woes are behind him.Let's just hope that RMJ gets his confidence back we're going to need him to step it up now and in the playoffs, usually he plays great against the lakers so I'll be waiting to see how he plays wednesday
