I still don't quite get why it's such a big deal to dunk over a guy who didn't even jump. I guess it's a testament to Tim Duncan's greatness that people think that's such an amazing play by a guy who has a long list of genuinely amazing plays.

Duncan, when told before the start of the Finals that LeBron had the dunk pic in his locker all season:
Cool. Maybe I'll get a chance to sign it for him or something.

That's Timmy for you. A dry wit and sense of humor. He dosen't take himself too seriously. That's a mark of a person who in confortable in his/her own skin. I've always wondered why most think he, Pop and the Spurs are such a boring and dull team. Oh well that's their loss.
I especially liked the way he made fun of himself at the ASG two years ago when asked by a reporter about Howard and the dunk contest. He stated that he could just stand in front of the basket and Dwight could dunk over him, refering to Howard's last second dunk in Orlando that won the game for the Magic against the Spurs earlier that year. And of course he said it with a straight face! Classic TD! :lol

I've never understood that about that play. I remember it happening live. Duncan rotated late and stayed planted so that he wouldn't give Lebron an And-1; I guess for some, his stronger play would have been to leave the dunk uncontested or to have run out of the way right at the end.
The sweetest retort to that was Duncan's block on Lebron in Game 1 of the '07 Finals. Somehow, that never gets shown in this discussion.

A troll implying the Spurs are gonna get raped is pretty redundant at this point, we all know it anyway.
I'm pretty sure this has been listed on the schedule all season, but thanks for letting us know. :wtf
This trolling is bush league.

That's an awesome quote.. well, both of them are
another great thing about that game 1 block: immediately after Duncan drifts out to check LeBron on the perimeter and forces him to clank two threes in the same possession.
He's more of a center than a power forward :rolleyes
