View Full Version : How many points will LeBron drop on The Centerpiece?

I'm thinking LeBron will end up with something like 45/9/8/2/2 on a good shooting percentage.

44 pts
8 rbds
3 assists

Pop's strategy will be to make Lebron shoot the ball

Others will guard him so not his full point/rebound/ast total, but a considerable margin.

I'm hoping for a lot of Hairston tonight, though that's a hell of a longshot.

Probably enough to win the scoring title tonight.

I think an easier question is actually "how many points will Bogans score?"

My money is on 0 but he might surprise me and go for 2.

There's a lot more towards "basketball politics" that we fans cannot understand. Or else what could explain why pop decides to go to Bogans more than HairT, when any logical basketball aficionado could see that HairT is clearly >>>>>>>>>>>>>X1000000000 than Bogans!!!! I don't think Bogans is clearly good enough to even play at the college level!

35-7-5 i think RJ will be on him.

Hope the other Cavs don´t make their shots. Keeping LeBron to 5 assists would be good enough. We should get a chance then. Assuming Duncan doesn´t suck again.

I'm gonna say King doesn't score a lot tonight..he's gonna take the double teams and focus on passing more IMO..it's the smarter strategy, and he just told the media that the scoring title doesn't interest him, so I bet he follows that up with a passing performance instead of shooting too much..

I was surprised how much Kobe just sat back and distributed with Bogans on him. I briefly wondered if Kobe just heard that Bogans is Bowen's successor and didn't bother to watch film on him. :lol

Keith's signature defensive move is to throw his hips forward and bump his opponent with his junk. Looks like he's sizing up Lebron for it right here.

I've seen him do is "Centerpiece cock-bump" a ton of times. I wouldn't mind if he fouled; more often he just lets his man go by him and then fails to put his arms up as the guy shoots.

Lebron was worried about the centerpiece, that is why he did not play last match. CIA Pop, knowing this, gave the match away to lure him to play this next two matches, were the centerpiece will be unleashed to dominate.

I hate when Bogans has games like this because it just gives Pop even more incentive to continue playing him(which is VERY dangerous since Bogans is the most inconsistent player on the team). Keith has all the signs of someone that's going to choke hard come playoff time.

Spurs trapping LeBron worked really well. But because the Cavs master cutter, Varejao, only played 15 minutes. Varejao is the reason why most teams these days rarely trap LBJ.

Good game tonight for Bogans, he made some key 3s and fronted Jamison well..hopefully he does it more often, I'll give him credit for tonight, but we've done this many times..he needs to put a string of good games together..since Pop is going to play him no matter what, he needs to play better on a consistent basis, I really hope he can..

1 - Why would I make excuses for the Cavs? Couldn't care less about excuses.

2 - Unlike 99% of the Spurs fans in this board I've been saying since December that the Spurs are underrated and that they're still a top team in the league. Ditto for Manu - I predicted he'd come back at his best level this season when pretty much everybody was saying he was finito. Why would I be dissing the Spurs.

3 - So it wasn't an excuse. It was a fucking basketball observation. I don't care much for what teams are playing. It could be the Celtics, the Lakers, whatever, I'd have said the exact same thing. It was a good observation, btw. If Varejao gets injured, it's much easier to flood the strongside vs. the Cavs as Popovich did today. Hickson can do some damage, like he did today (do you know how many points per possession he scored when flashing the post? Of course you don't, you're a bum), but he isn't Varejão. The Spurs won because Manu outplayed LBJ AND because Pop outcoached Brown.

kind of hard to observe all of the above when you post one liners like " spurs played good d but were only effective since varejeo was out" of course i realize how valuable varejeo is to cleveland and how good he is not just offensively but defensively as well... all i was stating was that us not having tony parker pretty much canceled out anything having to do with varejeo and how much of a "quality" win this is...

now go back to the celtic board or nba talk or whatever and gtfo. because when you come to a SPURS forum posting shit like that your obviously going to get a response out of somebody...... bum.

How? Would he be defending Varejao cuts? Or LBJ? What's the relevance of Tony Parker's absence for this particular issue?

Tony Parker being out is an entirely separate issue. Like the Cavs missing Shaq. Like Hill missing easy shots. Etc. Parker would be vital for the Spurs to beat the Cavs in a 7 games series, especially playing the high ballscreen versus their slow or stupid interior defenders, but I don't think that's particularly relevant for an analysis of this game. It may be relevant for the smack-talk department but, once again, I don't care about that, I wasn't talking about that and, to sum it up, I don't give a damn.
