Nelson Needs Three Wins To Surpass Wilkins (http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/65631/20100329/nelson_needs_three_wins_to_surpass_wilkins/)

The Warriors defeated the Clippers on Sunday night, moving coach Don Nelson closer to becoming the NBA's all-time winningest coach. Nelson needs two more victories to tie Lenny Wilkins on the all-time list and three to surpass him.
Golden State has nine games remaining this season. They'll have to win all of them to surpass their record last season (29-53), which was Nelson's worst mark over an 82-game season.

All those wins for Nellie and nothing to show for it. Big whoop.
At least Lenny got one with Seattle in '79.

This is one of the end-of-season storylines that I'll be watching closely. I'm rooting hard against Nellie getting this record.

This guy is a loser who is more interested in his own personal agenda, than developing a winning culture and maximizing player potential. Full-time salary, part-time effort. Doesn't routinely run practices. Takes early ejections from live games so he can relax in the locker room and drink beer.

Has there ever been a coach that has hung around so long, accomplished so little and demonstrated such apathy for his coaching responsibilities?

What's even more pathetic is the fact he still has a job.
