Destroy your mailbox. At the very least it will fuck with the postmans head when he pulls up and there is no place to put the mail.

I agree. I actually get useful stuff in the mail, but only about 5-10% of the time. I am in the Dr. Seuss book club for my daughter, and that is about it. Oh and while we are at it, can I please sign up to stop having all of those damned free papers thrown on my driveway? I go pick it up on the way to the mail box and drop the mail and the paper in the recycle bin on the way back inside.

Ok, this isn't completely true, I have to open and shred a lot of the mail, but that is just the annoying step in between the mailbox and recycle bin.

No don't do that!! Once a mailbox is put in place it becomes Federal property. It is against the law to restrict the USPS access to it.

It's only illegal if you get caught.

My brother-in-law is a postal carrier, I'll ask him what you can do. :lol

He'll probably say something like "don't buy so much porn".

Or the "sample" papers from the E-N that they give you to try to entice you to get a subscription. I don't want to buy your paper. I have internet access and can read your paper on my laptop, my computer at work, my smartphone, etc... All without the accompanying waste.

If your serious, you can start here: https://www.optoutprescreen.com/

That will, for the most part, get rid of credit offers and shit like that.

This is a damn good question. I'm on paperless billing on all of my bills and don't use credit cards so I never get anything useful in the mail. Every now and then I get a birthday card or something that I ordered, but usually the stuff I order comes UPS.

There is no reason we couldn't get mail on Monday Wednesday and Friday and be just as happy as we are now. Sure, the PO wouldn't lay off any employees, but think of all the gas they would save by cutting delivery to 3 days a week. Think how much CO2 they WOULDN'T release into the atmosphere. It's the PO fault the icebergs are melting.

BTW my carrier told me the "junk" mail is all that keeps them in business.

You know, this is an interesting concept. You could keep the "backbone" working (flying letters from one place to its destination, getting it to the PO ready for delivery) every day of the week, but only deliver it on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I would be fine with that. I would think that anyone would be fine with that. Anything super important gets Fed-exed, or UPSed (personal, businesss, etc...) Why couldn't they do that?

Even better, go to "A" and "B" days like the garbage men (monday this section of the city gets mail, tuesday, that section...). Also, if Friday is an A day, then Monday is a B day. Just pure alternation. This way, you could save on Mail man salaries, AND cut postal truck purchasing in half.

Yes, start laying off postal workers. They aren't disgruntled enough yet.

BTW, everyone knows it's rednecks and their bullshit fuel wasting endeavors like NASCAR that are fucking the polar caps.

Use attrition. Slower but at least everyone stays gruntled.
