Tiago Splitter
Rank: #4
Vitals: 6-11 245
Position: PF/C
NBA Comparison: Al Horford with more skills
Status: unrestricted free agent (he has a player option on his contract) - draft rights held by the San Antonio Spurs so another team would have to trade for his rights before signing him.
My Assessment: Splitter is a legit 6-11 big man that is known for his team defense and his efficient offense. He is experienced and consistent and he could be used as a 4 or 5 on either end of the court in the NBA. He is a very steady player and is surely a target of a lot of NBA teams. Potential NBA starting PF or starting C.
NBA Scout Assessment: An NBA scout said this of Splitter, "Not being able to sign Splitter after the draft might have cost the Spurs a championship or two".

Interested in what this guy can bring, is he a very good defender? I know it says he is up there but i've never seen him play.

He is not free agent. He signed contract extension with Olympiacos. I think he has option after next season. Either that or he will be free agent two years from now.

LOL
Good writing KBP.
I will include comments about each player from some NBA scouts that I know and talk to.
You may think this kind of lie adds credibility, but it doesn't.

Is Teodosic a free-agent this off-season? I doubt it. Pretty sure he signed till 12. Does he have a NBA release clause? I doubt that, Teodosic isn't a NBA player by any stretch of the imagination. Let me check this.

NBA Scout Assessment: An NBA scout said this of Spanoulis, "Spanoulis has no fear on the basketball court. He is as confident as any player there is. In my opinion he can start in any team in the NBA."
:lol KBP DEFINITELY wrote this article.

I'm sure Splitter is "Horford with more skills", yet he's a "potential NBA starting PF or C". If he was the former, then he'd definitely be the latter.

What? Are you saying Horford couldn't be a PF?

That's not even close to what he said.

No, I'm saying if Splitter was really "Horford with more skills", then he wouldn't be a "potential NBA starting PF or C", he'd be a surefire, definite, no questions asked NBA starting PF or C and he'd be All-Star caliber, something he doesn't project to be in the NBA.

Ah, I misunderstood (thought you meant former=Horford with more skills; later=starting C). Agreed. Horford is a better rebounder+jump-shooter than Splitter.
