Garrett Temple is a rookie with a most unusual biography, a tiny scoring average in college that’s dwarfed by a big family story.
The Spurs don’t sign many shooting guards who average 6.7 points in four years of Division I ball. They also don’t sign many guys who can say their father once played for the silver and black. Only one player can make that claim – Garrett Temple.

Collis Temple Jr. played for the old ABA Spurs in 1974-75 and roomed with George Gervin on the road. Thirty five years later, Garrett completes the father-son circle after going undrafted out of LSU in June.

"I’m extremely proud," says Collis, 57. "He had to grind it out to get to the league."

So far he shoots like Tolliver did when he was here and like Hairston does now. There all about the same which means not good enough.

As opposed to Bogans and Mason, both can't really shoot, and don't have the athleticism to back it up (to be clear I am only defending Hairston, idk Temple). At least Bogans can be great on D, and will rough people up.

I dont know about great :lol , but he has shown at certain times that he can be a pretty good defender out there.. problem is we don't always see it.... hes pretty inconsistent on how he performs on defense out there.
