View Full Version : Holy Crap! Am I REALLY going to root for the Lakers tonight?

Jazz are one game ahead of the Suns in the loss column, but rooting for the Lakers is rooting for everything that is evil and wrong in this world.
I dont even argue with Laker fans. I simply tell them "you are a Laker fan. You need therapy (probably for huge insecurities about being short)". Can I really join them for one night?

I will be joining them for one night and then taking an hour-long shower afterward to wash the stink off.
Seriously though, I hate the Jazz, too. So hoping the Lakers beat them tonight doesn't feel too awful.

Nothing would cause me to root for the Lakers, even if it ment a playoff spot. Jizz are the scum of the Earth.

Jizz and their fans are the scum of the earth. I wish for EnergySolutions Stadium collapse during every Jazz home game.

you either root for them for one night or you watch your team go down in flames as a 4 or 5 seed in the 2nd round to the lakers.
seems a simple choice to me.

Root for the Lakers to win, Pau Gasol getting punched in his vagina, and Ron Artest getting a beer bottle thrown at him. Win, win, win.

I love da_suns_fan's description about what it would be like to root for the Lakers..I fully agree..while we Spurs, Suns, Mavs and Rockets fans like to argue here, there's nothing worse than cheering for the Lakers and what they stand for..on and off the court + their disgusting fans..

There's not a huge difference between 10 and 11, Utah getting a championship before the Suns would piss me off more than LA getting their 11th title.

Lakers are not that bad, but the fanbase is horrible.

Although he might have raped someone, Kobe doesn't take part in activities that involve rolling around on the ground with other men who are wearing spandex.

Better than cheering for the racists who think black people were cursed with dark skin by God and make fun of little girls with cancer. :lol

I'm rooting for the Suns to win to be honest. The Lakers spanking them in the WCF would be the ultimate closure from the 05-07 era. You know Kobe still remembers that shit and he's not going to hold anything back against the Suns or even Spurs.

I hate to break it to you but the Suns aren't likely to make the WCF.....more likely scenario is a 1 seed vs. 4/5 seed matchup.

You might be right but the West looks pretty wide open outside of the Lakers. If the Suns end up with the 2 seed I don't think it would be impossible for them to see the WCF. Denver is a mental patient and Dallas chokes on their own cock in the post-season.

I'd agree except for Lopez' injury makes them a really sketch team that blows huge leads and needs its jumper to be falling in order to win. If Lopez somehow recovers from a herniated disc in time for the playoffs, then we might see a Suns vs. Lakers WCF, I wouldn't look forward to it, but that'd be a nice surprise to see the Suns make it that far.

Except you're wrong. We're racists who think black people were cursed with people like BRHornet and Al Sharpton as their ambassadors, cursed to live in and populate shit-assed slums like New Orleans, and cursed with the innate ability to be stupid, yo.
BTW, Cancer is no laughing matter. (unless it's happening to a Laker and/or their family member) In which case, I lol.

We don't need you to cheer for the lakers. Just worry about your team taking care of business. The rest will take care of itself.:toast

Pointless arguing with someone who uses "we" when referring to a team they root for.

Nice, the Rapist shoots almost as many FT's as the entire Utah team.
That being said, the Jazz looked like pure shit.

Well that's because the Jazz are just a good team that will never be great. When you get totally manhandled in the first quarter and have to play from behind you tend to foul a lot more. There were some missed calls both ways. The officiating had nothing to do with the outcome of this game. Besides, blaming the refs has always been and will always be a bitch move.

Heh...guess you didn't watch the Magic @ Spurs last night. The most horrible officiating I've seen in a long, long time. Both teams were playing 5 on 8 last night. :lol

If both teams were playing 5 on 8 then the refs, however horrible, were horrible both ways and had nothing to do with the outcome. Look, the refs are bad. We all know that. Some nights you get the calls, others not. The good teams, the championship caliber teams are able to play through it. If you don't put your team in a position to have a last second call effect the game then it's a moot point. I think you understand where I am going. IMO, there is too much bitching about the refs. With many, it's all they do and I think it's a bitch move.
