Absolutely horrible, looks like it could be a season-ending injury..a lot of injuries look worse than they actually are though, hopefully this is the case..this would kill the Bucks..

Bogut is one of my rising favorite players outside of the Spurs. This seriously sucks for him and the Bucks. I hope he comes back 100% next season and Milwaukee makes some noise.

Oh, the way his arm wobbles after he brings it out is nasty.

And I don't think Amar'e had much to do with it.

I'm a huge Bogut fan and have been talking him up all year, and I don't like Amare, but in no way was Amare responsible for that. If you look closely on the replay from the other angle, the fingers on Bogut's left hand slip and then it's game over. Amare didn't push him at all, Bogut's fingers slipped because he was going at full speed and they were probably sweaty.

As for the injury, it looked like a dislocated elbow at the very least, no idea how bad he hurt his shoulder.

Sad day for Bucks and Bogut fans. :depressed

Get well soon, Andrew. :toast

Livingston did lay it up if I remember correctly, but landed almost sideways on the leg. Seeing a knee bend laterally like that is pretty nasty.

In any case, hopefully Bogut's injury isn't anything nearly as bad as that one, though it sounds season ending at the very least.

I hope he has a speedy recovery. He was playing well before the injury.

I still think Shaun Livingston's knee injury was the worst I've seen on a NBA court.

Amare clearly touched him - there's no questions about that, although it was a minor bump - in any case, you can't never touch someone like that, you can see Bogut gets out of balance with that little push.

Amare is always in the middle of some controversy and he just can't measure his strength. I get really crazy when i see him doing shit like this. He should be banned for the rest of the season. He may have just caused a career to another guy.

Andrew Bogut: Season Over (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=rotowire-ndrewoguteasonver)
RotoWire.com Staff

Bogut will likely require surgery on his right arm and will miss the rest of the season, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. He suffered an array of injuries - dislocated elbow, sprained wrist and broken hand - in a cringe-inducing fall Saturday night against the Suns.

Despite the ugly nature of the injury, the initial reports left open a glimmer of hope that the Bucks may be able to get Bogut back for the playoffs. That door is now officially shut, and Bogut will spend the offseason rehabbing to get ready for 2010-2011. He was one of the most improved players in the league this season, averaging 15.9 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.6 blocks while shooting 51.7 percent. Kurt Thomas will likely take Bogut’s place in the lineup, but he’s not nearly the offensive weapon that Bogut is. While Thomas absorbs Bogut’s minutes, other Bucks - possibly Ersan Ilyasova - will pick up the scoring slack.

Fuck Amare -- what a shit head. I hate Bogut as much as the next guy, but that is some BULL SHIT. I hope the league comes down on him HARD.

Bogut has surgery, Bucks push toward playoffs (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-bucks-bogutinjured)
By Chris Jenkins

Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut of Australia had surgery to repair his broken right hand Monday, two days after he sustained the injury.

Team officials said Bogut is expected to need six weeks to recover before he can begin full rehabilitation, essentially ruling him out for the season.

Bogut broke his hand in an arm-wrenching crash to the court during Saturday’s victory over Phoenix, which also caused him a sprained wrist and dislocated elbow.

Before the ugly injury to Bogut, the Milwaukee Bucks were regarded as a potentially dangerous first-round playoff opponent.

Now instead of patrolling the paint for Milwaukee, Bogut will be recovering from multiple injuries and surgery while his teammates continue their playoff push without him.

Milwaukee can clinch a playoff berth with a win at Chicago on Tuesday, but these deer suddenly don’t seem as fierce.

“Nobody wants to see another team’s player get hurt, especially in that kind of dramatic fashion like it happened,” Bucks coach Scott Skiles said Monday. “Yet at the same time, there could be some teams saying, ‘Man, I’m glad we don’t have to play Bogut tonight.’ It’s part of it. Our guys all understand it. There isn’t going to be anybody in Chicago shedding a tear for us that Andrew’s not playing tomorrow night.”

Bogut was having a breakout season before the injury, averaging 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game.

“It’s really disappointing for Andrew,” said veteran Jerry Stackhouse, a midseason acquisition for the Bucks. “I think he’s worked really hard to put this team in position to be in the playoffs, and be where we are right now. No way we’d be anywhere close to it without him. Just disappointing he doesn’t get an opportunity to taste it a little bit.”

In one sense, the Bucks are right back where they were a year ago—playing without a pair of cornerstone players, Bogut and Michael Redd, because of injuries.

But they’re a better team with more to play for this time around. Milwaukee currently is sixth in the Eastern Conference and would clinch its first playoff berth since the 2005-06 season by beating the Bulls.

While Bogut was scoring consistently, his defense and rebounding might be missed more.

“He’s able to cover up a lot of our mistakes defensively,” Stackhouse said. “We want to be aggressive, we want to stunt the guys on the perimeter and you’re going to give up some penetration sometimes. We’ve got to have guys step up.”

Skiles said the team was taking Bogut’s injury in stride.

“Obviously, we had a day to absorb it a little bit,” Skiles said. “But the guys were sharp again today, and we’ll see what happens. I mean, all the guys know the importance of Andrew to our team. At the same time, they also know they’ve got to go on right now.”

And at least the Bucks still have something to play for.

“It’s still got to be fun to still be able to play for something at this time of the year,” Stackhouse said. “A lot of guys are shipping cars (home) right now and getting ready to get done with playing. But we’re still focusing on basketball, and that’s a good thing.”
