Portland will not lose 3 of their remaining games, meaning the Spurs are most likely headed for the 8th seed.

The Spurs shouldn't give a fuck who they play. They will get what they get, prep, and then kick ass and take names. That's the way it's been and that's the way it should continue. If it's the LAL...SO BE IT!

4 way tie, I know Spurs would have tie breaker vs OKC (sure) and Phoenix (as they would win in Phoenix in that scenario) - but not vs Portland, and I do not know what is the situation between Suns/Portland/OKC

When you think about it, we may still finish 8th...

i would say that POR loses 2 more, OKC loses 3 more until the end of the season.

this means that we can only afford to lose 2 more games to be in 6th and if we lose 3 (or more) we are in 8th.

since we play 4 games in 5 nights, i would book us for 2 losses @PHX and @DEN. we should win the easy ones: SAC, MIN, MEM. this leaves us with the away game in dallas, where i would love to rest some players, but i doubt that will happen. for this reason, i keep rooting for mavs to break away from DEN, PHX and UTA - b/c if they are a game ahead of all those teams - by the time the last game comes, they have most tie-breakers and are division winners - therefore have no interest in playing their starters. we can play our starters for one half, get a good lead, then play parker (to get him some more experience) with the rest of the scrubs and get the win.
