I went to a 3D screening of the trailer last night and it looks amazing. Cheesy and ridiculous, like the rest of the franchise has been, but fun.

And with Milla.

No. San Francisco for Wondercon. They had a panel for the film today where they showed everything 2D, but had a special 3D screening of the trailer last night.

Looks like they're pushing the 3d gimmick hard for this one, who could blame them, cause it looks mediocre otherwise.

They need to hurry up and reboot it by taking from the resident evil 4 installment.

Totally pushing the 3-d gimmick, it all looks so fake. All the sets remind me of Star Wars Ep 1-3, lots of cardboard cut outs mixed with digital effects. It doesn't enhance the look of the film, it IS the film...yuck.

At least there seems to be a change in tone, that could be interesting. The Executioner looks cool (if out of place), but I doubt they can make the fight anything more than flips and poses. Kudos to the marketing guys for choosing a decent song too, I'm sure that will pull in a few dummies in ticket sales.

They ripped off the Matrix scene when they fell through the window shooting.

Well, they're not the best adaptation of the Resident Evil games, but they're not complete crap...at least they have Milla in them..;) :lol

No kidding. RE 4 is fucking great. A hard son of a bitch though!

As far as these movies go, they can go suck a fuck. There is no character named Alice in any of the games. I have no clue why she's even there. These are probably some of the worst video game adaptations ever.

This movie was filmed using a 3D camera so I would figure that it would look pretty good in 3D. A lot of these movies that are in 3D are not really in 3D. They're just converted from 2D to 3D so you get the result of a shitty product. You can hate Avatar all you want but the movie looked awesome in IMAX 3D mainly because it was shot in 3D.

Cool, it's about time they put Zombies in The Matrix.

You know what was a good movie adaptation of a game? Silent Hill. Scared the SHIT outta me.

Still crossing my fingers for a Leisure-Suit Larry movie...

I never really got why the Resident Evil games got turned into movies. The whole charm of the games themselves was that they were interactive versions of the tried and true B-movie horror formula of the science experiments gone horribly awry. Turning that into a movie takes away the interactive element, which was the only good part of it all, and leaves you with a shitty, shitty shell.
