Ginobili has a simple request for fans at the AT&T Center. No more “MVP” chants, please.

Ginobili received the MVP treatment from the home crowd as he went to the foul line late in the fourth quarter against Orlando

Maybe he doesn't want people to talk badly about him for leaving, after the fans treated him so well.

Maybe he just thinks American fans are uncouth, compared to Euro fans, and he's disgusted by our behavior.

Maybe he has hopes of playing with Dwight Howard next year, and he doesn't want any hard feelings over this game.

Maybe he knows how seriously pissed the fans will be when he gets injured in summer play this season, after proving that he is still capable of playing at such a high level - when healthy.

He's just being humble. Ginobili knows he is certainly not MVP of the league and not even of the Spurs, that's Tim. Perhaps he doesn't want anyone over inflating his value to the franchise because he plans on jetting. Who knows, but I think he is just being humble.

And people think this guy may go to the Knicks. :lol:lol:lol

He'd fit in NYC about as well as that guy in Midnight Cowboy.

I think he understands that coach Three First Names is ultimately a loser/excuse maker.

I know I've already said this, but those fans need to be chanting, "EXT-TEN-SION, EX-TEN-SION".

This. Would be so much better than MVP chants.

He may also think that is a little unfair to Tim Duncan, who has had a better overall season than Manu.

Yeah, I don't think he likes it when he's shooting free throws especially...understandable.
