There is a difference, when its the other team facing elimination or its the spurs facing elimination. The spurs don't have a good record when facing their own elimination in recent years. They did beat Seattle in a first round elimination but other than that I don't remember them doing well when facing their own elimination.
Finishing off a team that is facing elimination is not a pressure situation so those numbers should be placed in a different category than facing their own elimination.

The last time the Spurs had a 3-1 lead in a series . . .
they had a 19-point lead in the third quarter, at home . . .
the other team was playing without their All-Star . . .
. . . and the Spurs still lost the game. Still maybe the worst loss I've ever seen, given the circumstances.
Spurs vs. Dallas, game 5 of the 2003 WCF.

Were those 4 losses all to the Lakers?
Just kidding.

I'm trying to think of the 4 losses -- I remember: 2001 Gm. 3 at Minnesota; 2001 Gm. 4 at Dallas; 2002 Gm. 4 at Seattle (no Timmy and no Dave); 2003 Gm. 5 vs. Dallas.
