To be honest, I thought the term "life partner" was curious enough that I wondered if there was a dude named Kim in his life.

He was married for a long time to a lovely lady who is Coby Karl's mother. Kim is a later significant other.

I won't lie, I also went "huh?" when I read life partner on the scroll during the game. Just because that's a term almost exclusively by gay couples.

Doesn't necessarily mean someone is not gay, but yeah, Kim's a woman.

My wife opined that Kim probably took it upon herself to release information to the media, and probably identified herself as his "life-partner" at the time. Considering some of the details that she released, which I would personally find embarrassing for someone to share were I in Karl's position, it makes sense that she would be presumptuous enough to refer to herself in that way, and I think my better half has it right.

Upon further thought, it seems that a woman that refers to herself as a man's life partner is deluding herself because she hasn't gotten an engagement ring yet.

This question was legit and I remember wondering the same thing. Being that there is not another thread that is related to this, I think its acceptable that a thread was started. The only thing is that its not spurs related. Still.. there have been threads started that were much much worse! Self proclaimed thread police need to relax.
