Oregon man sues for right to flip off deputies (http://nuttynewswire.com/story/20959.shtml)

Part of link:

Robert Ekas, 46, said flipping the bird to sheriff's deputies in 2007 led to multiple verbal showdowns with deputies as well as traffic violations that the federal suit claims were retaliation for his silent, one-fingered statements, The (Portland) Oregonian reported Monday.

Well duh...

Fuck with someone and you don't expect someone to take it personal and not fuck with you?

Oh, don't get me wrong here Mr. Peanut Gallaery...

I have wanted to flip off the police many times. I'm just not stupid enough to do so, knowing the power the wield and abuse.

Does he expect to get anywhere with a suit? The police will just turn around and say they noticed a reason to do whatever they did, and claim the man is using this as a false reason to get off.

I hate the Multnomah county, Clackamas county, and Portland police. They are known to abuse their power. They even shoot innocent civilians that make that Afghanistan incident look normal.

He should be able to hang his cock out the window too.

Free speech rocks.

Is having a bad attitude a ticketable offense? It's not at all like hanging your junk out the window IMO.

Bali...

I'll admit to exaggerating a little on that last comment, but not much.

Time and time again, the police shoot people, just because they crap their pants too easily.

Look up Kendra James sometime. There was a man one time who a police officer shot because he was screaming, running toward him but far enough away not to be a threat, burned and naked. My God... He just got out of a car fire, and was panicked....

There are several examples where the police needlessly kill, and get no punishment.

Local police... Shot first, make up an excuse later...

Here's my question WC: Are you agreeing with what the cops did or not?

I mean, it's one thing to say, in a real-world sort of way, that the guy is retarded. That's somewhat obvious. But in a theoretical "should it be legal" way, how do you stand?

Absolutely not, at least if it's like the man says. I would say his story probably has some truth to it. The police are suppose to enforce the law. Not abuse their power to use it over others.

police seem to think they can use their job to enforce their own pet peeves
