Does ObamaCare ban people from paying out of pocket with our without insurance? Did it make it illegal?

serious question.

I need serious proof.

If you really cared, you'd study up on this yourself.

I don't think direct payment for services can be outlawed. Doctors will continue to accept cash from patients who don't have health insurance.

You buy insurance or pay penalty.

Paying the penalty is totally separate from you paying your medical bills.

But I'm not a lawyer who could interpret 2500 pages of lawyerese. And I bet lots of lawyers can't interpret the bill, either.

It's a good thing we had hundreds of congressmen NOT understand the bill and pass it anyway.

I have insurance with a high deductible. I pay cash and assume I will be able to continue to do so.

"high deductible"

aka catastrophe insurance.

If you lose that insurance, then no matter how sick you are, you should be able to buy new insurance in the exchanges where no insurer can refuse you (but they are looking for loopholes, of course, Ethical Basterds).

I've not heard that anyone with insurance will be forced to drop it.

ahole. Some ppl you will bend over backwards to assist them. Others you will begin or join in to the trolls responses. gtown wore out his good graces with me a long time ago. He's a notorious ahole who wouldn't know a good faith argument if it was a wart on his own nose. I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire, let alone help him make his own points.

Whenever he starts showing a little class around here, it'd be the very first time. Dude is a dick to everybody. One of the purest trolls on ST, in fact. If my reply to him here seems unfair, maybe that's because you're unfamiliar with the backstory.

OTOH, maybe you just like him for some reason.

Oh, and thanks for giving SnC such a prompt example of your assholishness and prepubescent wit. :tu

Gay baiting never lost its charm for you, did it?

Most people outgrow it, but who am I to deprive you of the obvious delight you take in it?

Don't ever change, gtown. :toast
