I can just hear Ray allen now... talking about "I dont know what bowen does, but its not defense"... and those thugs james and evans, throwing the bows. I can see this next series getting ugly. I cant wait for the post game conferences... BOOOOHOOOO... thats what were going to hear from allen, james, lewis...and Macmillan. Im pumped up... lets get it on. Does anyone else have anything to say about the sonics?
Most people here think that eating chicken mcnuggets from mcdonalds help us win... what will we eat next. Sonic burgers?
I think this is a tougher series than people here are willing to admit. They are healthy and playing great ball. Albeit they were playing the Queens, but still, Allen is playing out of his mind right now and they're shooting lights out now. I think we take it in 6 hard fought, ugly, physical games.

I dont doubt its going to be a tough series.. we have trouble with three point shooting teams.
I'm just glad that the series starts soon.

Ray allen has been on fire in the sac series.. but sac has 0 defense. If seattle thinks they are going to get the same success playing us.. their on crack.

Anyone thinking this series will be easy is seriously underestimating Seattle.

This is our nightmare matchup this year. Honestly they play way above their level whenever they play us, and we have always struggled against Ray Ray lead teams. I just hope that in the playoff atmosphere we can grind it out.

They've got great perimeter players and as long as the refs are letting the wrestling continue down low, Seattle's front line can give our front line (particularly a hobbling Dunan and Nazr) fits.
I'm not looking forward to this series, but I say Spurs in 7.

The sonics are a way tougher opponent than the Nuggets. They have James, Evans and Fortson down low, and that is 18 fouls on Tim Duncan. These guys also have the strength to push Duncan away from the basket and make him work for every point. Nick Collison is also an extremely good finisher and offensive rebounder. On offense Ray Allen is not the guy that worries me, Bowen should be able to shut him down, but what can you do have Lewis? He is 6'10", can shoot the three, can post up, and is a good passer and rebounder for a small forward.
For the Spurs, Duncan has to absolutely dominate the Sonics ugly three-head monster, Nazr should get PLENTY of open looks and offensive rebounds under the basket, Manu should destroy whoever is guarding, and Parker have to eat Ridnour alive.

watch the game in April, and that is how you play the flippin sonics.
Inside out offense.
Zone defense.
