love how rc talked about about going after splitter this summer i hope if we land maybe the spurs can move jeffersons expiring contract and maybe mcdyess(if someone is able to take him) to a team sorta like how the mavs traded to the wizards this season but the spurs getting cheaper salary but a commintment for a longer deal for who the spurs trade for

I was wondering when Manu would take with Paul Castro in Spanish. I wouldn't understand a word, but Manu is the main spanish speaker on the team. If the only one.

Hey i can't even understand his Spanish myself though Manu did pretty well! :lol

Again, it's nice to see the Spurs and Manu renew their vows :married:

RC's interview: Did anyone else get the feeling that he was shy on the "big 3" questions and them being the ones to go after a chamipionship? I got the feeling that one or two of them were not locks to continue as spurs in the next few years.. like it was still left open that most likely Tony, could be traded next year or the year after.. just a feeling i got.

Yes i noticed, but i think itīs understandable. Itīs exactly the same approach he had towards Manu when he had those years with a lot of injuries. They never said that Manu was on his way out, but we all knew that they cheked the market.

The only obvious "subtlety" in RC Buford's voice during that interview had to do with questions about Ginobili and national play.

His answer was "we can't make a decision due to FIBA-NBA rules"

"I hope he respects his own health"

translation: "yeah he BETTER not play for the national team, especially this year, after being resigned for almost $40 million"

I mean I guess it's kind of obvious.

The spurs showed loyalty in ginobili with the $40 m extension, now ginobili needs to show loyalty to the spurs.

He's proven that he's not at the point in his career where he can "have it all." He's not young enough to where he can do it all.

He needs to take sides. The spurs have spoken and have given him their vote of confidence, now it's time for ginobili to deliver by opting out of national play for the remainder of his time as a spur.

i think it is a good idea to trade tony parker while he still has value, tim duncan is old, we need a young big athletic next to tim. tony parker lover fans should accept that the big 3 cant win championship any longer. duncan will get older, slower next year and gino as well, parker will be 28-29.
trade parker while we can for a big or young athletic wing. hill can take over and hill is younger. he will be 24 next year.
gino can play the point, then hill shooting guard. or vice versa. this team proved that they can win without tony parker. if we can get a big man next to tim for parker like bynum or bosh.
pg- hill
sg- gino
sf- dick
pf- duncan
c- andrew bynum
or
pg- hill
sg- gino
sf- dick
pf- chris bosh
c- duncan
i think with this line up. we will win more championship for timmy.

Hey,

I am a grown man ...but I was like a kid watching the Manu interviews and realizing that---

Manu and his relationship with Spurs fans is special...

Manu epitomizes the ---good guys wear black---that IS a huge part of the Spurs/Spurs fan love affair....

I mean I am proud to root for a team where every last player---especially the great ones---are really also impressive human beings....unlike other teams/superstars---which I don't feel a need to name...

and last but not least---

in an era where money & image & marketing is EVERYTHING...how beautiful that ---knock on wood--- most of our greats have remained in Silver & Black---for entire careers...again--in an era where many players trade jerseys every coupla' years...

great time to be a spurs fan...
