Spurs fans have some faith.this team is great. they are just getting used to tony being back.parker played well and is passing alot.he let manu run the floor everytime manu was on the floor. You can run isolations for parker but not hill and once he gets his speed back no1 can stop him.when hill comes back we'll be even better.
Anyways spurs will end the season on a high note.pop will not let them finish 8th.
Go spurs

Eh...nothing is for sure until the final day of the season. The Spurs will most likely end up 6th, 7th, or 8th. For all we know Dallas may not even have anything to play for on the last day of the season...opening the door for the Spurs. The Blazers still have games @ LA, vs. OKC on a back to back, and then at home against Golden State. OKC still has @Golden State, at home vs. the Blazers on a back to back, and at home against Memphis. Anything can still happen...

OK, ok...I'll throw in that Florida swampland with the Brooklyn Bridge. But I still want $50.00 cash for both. I want to buy a bottle of that 'happy juice' you're drinking.

FWIW...Pop will now start resting Tim and Manu and give guys like Temple, Hairston, Mahinmi more minutes. Winning the next 3 really doesn't mean much anyway. Tim is just plain worn down and needs a week off. Manu needs to still play some but, cut his minutes.

Well if we win our last 3 games we'll avoid the 8th seed for sure. Not sure if it will happen, but at least we control our own destiny of avoiding the 8th seed.

Here's how it all breaks down for the Spurs finishing 6-8:

Spurs get 6th if:
SA 3-0, OKC 2-1 or worse, POR 2-1 or worse
SA 2-1, OKC 1-2 or worse, POR 1-2 or worse

Spurs get 7th if:
(If there is 3-way tie, the order would be POR, SA, OKC)
SA 3-0, OKC 3-0, POR 2-1 or worse
SA 3-0, OKC 2-1 or worse, POR 3-0
SA 2-1, OKC 1-2 or worse, POR 2-1
SA 2-1, OKC 2-1, POR 1-2 or worse
SA 1-2, OKC 1-2, POR 0-3
SA 1-2, OKC 0-3, POR 1-2

Spurs get 8th if:
SA 2-1, OKC 2-1 or better, POR 2-1 or better
SA 1-2, OKC 1-2 or better, POR 1-2 or better
SA 0-3

If we beat Denver, I think we have a good chance of finishing 7th at least. POR have 2 tough games: @LAL, OKC. The 2 teams fighting with us for 6th and 7th will play each other, guaranteeing a loss for one of them. I can see POR losing both of these games. And by the time the Spurs have their @DAL game, DAL may have clinched the 2nd spot since their schedule is easy and they own most tiebreakers I believe. Meaning they're gonna rest most of their players, and we are likely to win that one. 6th or 7th is still highly possible, but it needs to start with a win against the hungry Nuggets.

A loss to the Nuggets, could push into 8th for good even though thats not guaranteed either. If POR lose both their next games, and we lose to DEN and beat MIN, we'd have a 1 game advantage over them. A win @DAL (as mentioned above, could rest their starters) would still give us 7th at least.

Great analysis.

Tonight's match will definitely give us a clearer image of what spot we're heading towards (even though we won't know surely till the last game or 2). A win, would more than likely put us in 7th at least. A loss, and we're more likely to finish 8th.

defense has been absolutely horrible the last two games. the worst part of it is, the guys (other than manu) are playing lazy. the blame is on popovich. it's up to him to get these guys in the right mindstate and to play the players that are actually going to put forth some kind of effort.
