Those are Shaq-like numbers...jeebus.

and the Lakers finally clinch the seed. Kobe had to sit out for them to finally get it.

Anyone else think Kobe should go back to deferring to his big man and be the #2 option again as Shaq-Kobe?

Sons, in his last 8-10 games hes actually been putting up extremely good numbers..Im actually damn happy that he's getting his jumpshot back..Once Bynum comes back, they'll be able to beast on the court together if he keeps hitting his jumpshots consistently.

Please put this in it's proper place ...
Also why still have a a Kobe theread ...pretty much eVERYONE agrees Lebron has passed him only thing Kobe has on him now ... is rings and the best closer in the game status ...

There is no need for a kobe thread or even THIS one ...

Also ,gasol has 3 good games or so ...and now all of a sudden he is the MVP of the team again?

but it took Phil calling him soft to EVEN get that ...performance?

GREat game (last 5 or so) by Pau no doubt but the OP is an idiot ...Pau diominated Minny even when he was in Memphis BIG freaking deal?

For the record I would Put current rankings like this:

1. Lebron * (needs title validation)
2. Kobe (a)
2. Wade (b)
4. Howard
5. Dwill (a)
5. Durant (b)

facts are facts

kobe is old, wear and tear on his body has slowed him down, he's declining, and his volume shooting hurts the team

it's time for him to adjust his game to #2 option and run offense through your big man.

I guess the Nuggets, Spurs, and Jazz are all as shitty as the Timberwolves, right?

The Timberwolves game is the only reason I said the offense should run through Gasol, right?

Kobe is 32 in a few months. He has been playing for 14? seasons. In basketball terms, 32 yrs old means you are now on the decline. You are no longer in your prime. It's gone, over, done.

Kobe only has 3-4 seasons left in the NBA. This was his last big contract and we all know it. That is "OLD" for the NBA.

By comparison, Shaq was 32 when the Lakers figured he was pretty much done.

Wear and tear on his body HAS slowed him down, that's not opinion.

He is declining, also not opinion. It's true.

That's all fact

Look guys MH has a point here. Kobe's legs, lateral quickness and athleticism has abandoned him, even worst is the fact that Kobe's jumper has not been as it used to be. This year has been his worst shooting efficiency since 04-05. A recent article has perfectly analyzed Kobe's game and impact. It is no longer as deadly as it was like 2-3 months ago. His body language is way off. Teams no longer double team Kobe, they know they can contain him, so its not a far fetch idea to suggest running the offense on Gasol who has been a spectacular second option.

Like it or not, the Lakers are a better team when the offense does'nt run through Bean. In that regards their defense has also improved because all the guys gets ample touches and shots which transalates to a higher energy on the other end.

Kobe should get this "I eat first" mentality out of the window. He should'nt eat first when he has two other family members capable of putting 20 points/50% FG. Dude needs to start playing like Magic not like Jordan. He should'nt prioritize Finals MVP when all that matters is the NBA trophy.

D...will? Wait, are you trying to say that deron fucking williams is tied for being the 5th best player in the NBA? Is this a joke?

Talk about overrating a player..

He's not even top 20 in PER.

I can name at least 5 or 6 players who are definitively better than deron williams.

anyone want to reconsider their opposition? I firmly believe Bryant should relinquish his ego and take the #2 option and defer to big man.
