The Nuggets are not ending this season as the 3-seed. They face Memphis tonight and Phoenix tomorrow night (in Phoenix). They'll lose at least one of those games... 1-1, most likely.

Phoenix faces Denver tomorrow night, and then Utah (in Utah) the very next night. The Suns will go 1-1.

Utah faces Golden State and then Phoenix on a back-to-back. Utah will win both, I think. 2-0.

1. LA
2. Dallas
3. Utah
4. Phoenix
5. Denver

I can see Thugz beating Phx and Memphis and then Utah losing to Phx. All the scenarios are making my head spin though. Be glad when everything is set.

The Mavs have performed well against the Nuggets this year...

Suns HCA vs. Denver in the 1st round is their best scenario.

Yeah I am not so sure the Nuggets are our worst matchup anymore. I think the Jazz might give us more problems to be honest.

We have never beat a healthy Denver team though.
It would be a tough matchup imo. I still fear JR Smith, who loves lighting up Jason Terry even more than most people.

No Roy tonight means OKC needs to win this game...if they do I see them going 2-0 in the last two with both POR and SAS going 1-1 in last 2, making it

6. OKC 51-31
7. POR 50-32 (won tiebreaker over SAS)
8. SAS 50-32

If OKC beats POR, which is likely, Spurs have to win out to get the 6th seed. They should beat MIN, and then depending on how Dallas' playoff picture looks going into the game, it could go either way.

i think Dallas plays it out unless #2 locked up for sure ...

Avery talked about how sitting Dirk in 06 made him lose his rhythmn no way dirk agrees to it ...they are on a roll right now in fact coming down the stretch Dirk and durant are playing the best out of the MVP caliber candidates. howard is a close third.

Kobe is limping in ...

If the Spurs can get the 6 seed and face Denver that is best case scenario. They avoid the Lakers until the WCF and get the most favorable match up of those available in round 1.

Still won't be easy, but that is the best bet.

I want to see the Spurs/Mavs series though as a fan. I just know that is the tough match up.

My dream lineup as an NBA fan for these playoffs:

Lakers/Portland
Dallas/Spurs
Denver/Thunder
Utah/Suns

those would be a beast

as a Spurfan:
Denver/Spurs :toast

Spurs play trying to set up a match with the Mavs

that's just what I've been concerned about. As hot as a team can be, now the Spurs just aren't likely to act again as Mavs fodder, probably they will also curbstomp the mavs the same easy way Thunder and Blazers do. Maybe suns may give the Mavs a chance due to their horrific defense, but still I see it 30-70 for mavs to win. Mavs = first round exit.

I got over the nostalgia factor last year after getting dispatched 4-1. :pctoss

But I'd prefer a rematch with the Mavericks over a rematch with the Lakers.

Lol lowering your expectations so you don't get pussy hurt if the Mavs lose. you and Mono tsk tsk.
That are you just want to be on record saying you think the Mavs will lose so if they do you will have something to link to when the LMAO MAVS threads start.
