Looked doubtful at many points in the season, but it looks like our spurs are gonna keep the longest active 50-win season streak alive at 11. Doesn't matter what anyone says, it is a big deal... Spurs fought hard despite many controversies, bad play at the start, and injuries. And of course, it's a sign that our core still has something left, don't count them out yet!

Let's get this party started early, whip out the banner, pop the champagne and book the parade!!

PS: no i don't care that the game is not over, the jinx is not that powerful with me lol

I'm proud of them...50 wins with this roller coaster season...hopefully we can knock off the Mavs on Wed. and ride some momentum into the weekend

i remember a poll where most people were saying that the spurs would win at most 45-48 games.

Glad to know the 50 happen.

i think the streak should be 12 - because in '99, the season did not have 82 games.

thus, the record is 12 consecutive 50 wins / (82 games) season

The Spurs won 37 out of the 50 games in the 1998-1999 season, which extrapolates to 60 or 61 wins over an 82 game season, so it's actually 13 in a row if you want to be picky about it. :hat

with all the stuff this season gave us, this is a great accomplishment. There were times we weren't sure if we even going to make the playoffs.

that is correct. however, i do not think the nba allows extrapolated wins records. if we want to be correct, that is 13 seasons with at least (rounding) 61% winning percentage.

Actually, if you're counting that, it's 13, because they won 50 in Tim's rookie year of 97-98.

Someone bump the thread with dabom (http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/member.php?u=47543) erroneously making fun of our 50 win pace this season. Couldn't find it.

19-8.
