Nuggs are only WC playoff team with a losing road record, reliable sign of a soft-ass team.

DUNCANownsKOBE2
04-13-2010, 10:14 AM
This game more or less decides whether or not Phoenix has a chance to win a series. If they lose tonight they likely play Utah in the first and will need to win 1 in Utah which isn't happening. Even though they don't have Lopez this SHOULD be a win. They've been dominant at home all year while Denver is a bad road team and they're on a B2B.

I'm actually cheering for Utah to win tonight because if both teams win the Suns clinch a top 4 seed. If the Suns win and Utah loses to Golden State, then the Suns would need to win in Utah to avoid the 5 seed because of the divisional thing.

DUNCANownsKOBE2
04-13-2010, 10:19 AM
What's incredibly frustrating is how much the Suns fucked themselves by blowing a 15 point lead to Utah in 2 different games. If they just win 1 of those games they're in great position for a top 3 seed.

Girasuck
04-13-2010, 10:37 AM
It's simple for us. We need to win out, have the Suns beat Denver tonight, and have the Spurs beat Dallas tomorrow. That gives us the 2 seed. If Denver wins tonight, we're either the 4 or 5 seed no matter what. That's why this is a HUGE game for Utah. We need the Suns to win. If Dallas wins tomorrow, we win out, and the Suns win tonight, that gives us the Northwest division and the 3 seed which I'm ok with cause we can beat Dallas in the second round without homecourt.

But then you'll go right back to hating our guts tomorrow night...

Go Suns! In my opinion, this is the most important game of the year. A win will instantly improve our chances of advancing in the playoffs. A loss will do the opposite.

Also, I'd like to see Amare dunk on Nene. And KMart, too.

Xylus

I just read that Denver is 0 for 10 in their last 10 visits to Phoenix. And they're on a back-to-back... Phoenix better fucking win this game.

Shaq seemed to be loving towards him in a weird way, Porter was the problem. You could instantly see a difference once Gentry became coach. Shaq's presence really fucked Robin Lopez up more than anyone else.

Ya, I didn't mean shaq was bad to him, just having a player of that stature around can be distracting/put a lot of pressure on him.

Yeah in that case I agree. Last year a lot of undeserved hype from Kerr fucked the team up. Hyping Goran as the 2nd best PG in the draft, calling Lopez the most NBA ready big man in the draft and labeling Alando Tucker as someone who will breakout without Antoni fucked them up imo and made them feel like they had to succeed immediately.

Nash kryptonite is the physical play, that's unavoidable in the playoffs against good teams. I also want to see Channing Frye hitting all those threes on the playoffs. I still remember QRich hitting everything in the regular season, then clanging everything in the postseason.

It's because Denver struggles in slow paced, defensive games even more than the Suns do, so much that they're below .500 when they score below 110 points. Basically, Denver is really good at getting in shoot out games and winning them, the problem is you're never gonna beat Phoenix in an up tempo free for all.

Great points.

Suns are a smarter team than Denver so in a free-for all Suns STIL take great shots because Nash spoon feeds Amare for a lot of paint points ...

Chauncey can do SOME of what Nash does problem is Melo and JR are so good in isolation they dont trust/depend on Chauncey to orchestrate the offense as MUCH as Suns do Nash ...

Plus the Nuggs lose their cool too easy when they get up on you and are thuggin they are great but when the game is close they buck ....

Feel free to count it out yourself:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/DEN/2010_games.html

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my count says they're 24-27 when they score below 110 points. Granted that means They're 29-1 when they score 110+ points, it shows they rely on being in high paced offensive games.

I'm saying the Suns have an advantage in both. If you can't consistently execute in the half court and be comfortable in slow paced games, you're not beating the Suns, that's been the case since they got Nash back.

Man those are some ugly March statistics. I know Denver's been struggling with their offense moreso than their Defense the past couple weeks, but for a team that's been averaging near 107 pts per game throughout the season to not be able to score 100+ points in 11 of their past 15 games is very troubling. Hopefully they score 110+ pts every game in the playoffs.:lol

There is nothing funny about slavery or the millions who died just on the slave ships. Or shall we be ignorant and joke about all tragedies such the holocaust too.

Are you kidding? Where would the world BE without Jew and Coon jokes?

It would be a sad place, that's for sure.

As a Spur-fan my realistic hope were for the seedings to finish as..

1. Lakers
2. Jazz
3. Suns
4. Mavs
5. Nuggets
6. Thunder
7. Spurs
8. Blazers

Lakers get a tricky one first up, then have to play one of their two toughest matchups in Dallas or Denver. Also, the Spurs avoid the three best teams in the West IMO in LA, Dal and Denver until the Finals provided they would make it that far.

Obviously as a Spursfan, you want to avoid the Lakers first and foremost, and then the Mavs. Everyone else, i would feel reasonably confident going into a series, even Denver.
