Thomas re-signing with Bobcats

5-year, $40 million deal... sounds like overpaying, but let's see. Apparently Larry Brown <3 Thomas.

I'm less surprised about the per salary than about the 5 years. if TT doesn't finally turn from a guy with tons of potential to a somehow consistent and reliable performer within the next season, he will be a untradeable bust with 4 more years on the contract. (maybe the 5th year is a TO?)

Agreed. I would have thought 2 years with a team option on the 3rd would have been the way to go.

I really hope Thomas finally emerges because I traded for him the year before last in DL II (dumped AI for him, JR Smith, and picks - great trade for me) and it's about time he used some of that talent.
