NBA has to know matchups first so they know where, when and which refs to send to what games

IIRC, Spurs often play on Saturday, but if they play the Lakers, it will surely be Sunday afternoon on ABC.

FWIW, Spurs have opened on Saturday 8 times in the last 10 years.

I really hope they play on Saturday. I probably wont be able to see the game live if its on Sunday.
