not a bad option for the LLE...if we are still in search for a small forward who can rebound, defend and take some long shot.

thinking about a player, who could fill the 5th spot in the big rotation behind Tim, Dice, Splitter, Blair and who could be signed for cheap this summer Singleton came to my mind.
Singleton would bring some things Spurs lack, he is a bit of a poor man's Tyrus Thomas (very poor, yes) and he might fit decently in a minor role.
very good shot blocker and rebounder, decent quickness and a not so bad jumper. not a great defender, but not a liability either. at least he hustles his ass off. don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to see him play more than 10-12 MPG on a Spurs roster, but in that role, he might be a pretty useful piece.

I'd like to see Singleton replacing Scalabrine in Boston next season.

With most of the free agent SFs gone, I think combo forward Singleton deserves a look. He can't shoot, but he rebounds like crazy and always plays hard.

sign S+S (Singleton + Shaq) and call it an offseason...!!!

A few years back I wanted Singleton as a PF, he was coming off a good season with Tau, and if we hadn't signed Bonner, Singleton would have been a good choice.

Does he have the foot speed to play SF?

I really wanted someone like Butler, who is the opposite of RJ; A lighter, faster SF who could shoot.

James Singleton leaves Wizards for China

James Singleton determined that he would have more to gain (such as money and playing time) in leaving the NBA than sticking around for another shot next season. Singleton, a throw-in from the Wizards' trade deadline deal with Dallas last February who emerged as a regular rotation player, said on Monday that he signed to play next season in China with the Xinjiang Gyang Hui Flying Tigers.
