pathetic effort....this team will be bounced in the 1st round. Pop should play his scrubs in the series and rest Manu, Parker and TD for round 2

With that early Mavs run the game was booked and both teams were coasting and not even trying hard...

Nothing to take out of the game. Except that Parker, Bonner and Mason look like crap...

The only thing that worries me about this game is the way Blair beasted. Mavs had a double-digit lead after three, Kidd sat out the entire quarter, Dirk only came back in when the Spurs scrubs cut it to 8. Nothing that happened in the fourth quarter concerns me. Haywood and Dampier are gonna have to bring it a lot more than that to match Blair's intensity and effort level.

Lord knows how much time he'll see, remember pop didn't give Hill much of a chance last year till game 5

Surely he gets rotation minutes in the playoffs.

Pop can't be as stupid as Rick. We all know your badass rookie will be playing, our badass rookie will be watching JJ Barea throw up airballs and not play defense.

I don't think Pop will play Blair much either. On anther note, do you think Carlisle will give Beaubois significant minutes?

absolutely not. Even in his postgame comments, he made mention of how most everyone on the team has playoff experience except Beaubois.

Hard to say. He won't play as much as Mavs fans would like. It's unfathomable to me that he will be completely mothballed.

Believe it or not, Pop doesn't go on past game stats. If he did, Mason would be tossing roasted peanuts to fans for $7.25 a bag.

and he would miss them

Temple, Mason (probably), Ian, and Hairston won't get minutes. Blair will probably get no more than 10-15.

What about Blair's 27 and 23 and the fact that Nowitzki scored 19 pts in 20 Shots?

I reckon the minutes given to Roddy won't exceed 10min/game at most, because such a callow rookie who severely lacks experiences shouldn't be selected and used over the more experienced ones like JJB, or even Matt Carroll according to Carlisle's retarded logic.

Meanwhile Blair will also struggle to earn appearances IMHO. Because of his poor defense he can't be used as a regular in rotation, the only minutes given to him won't be anywhere beyond some insipid occurrences when the Spurs are down by 20+, which won't be likely to be any in a series between Spurs and Mavs.

Parker'll be fine. Mason's been shit the entire year.

BONNER's game worried me. He's been pretty money w/ his 3 ball the last couple weeks or so, and he couldn't have looked worse out there.

Crossing my fingers that "CIA Pop" explicitly told him to play one FUGLY ass game so as to "not show his hand." [smirk]

Fuckin' Pop.

Mav fans, know this....

Roger Mason will get more minutes than DeJuan Blair. Pop is th eking of unwarranted minutes (see Finley, Michael)

Mavs in 6

p.s. JJ killed the Spurs last year, and he did solid in that last game.

lol, Dirk wasn't trying.

He drew 0 fouls and didn't get a FT until 1:30 left.

All of his shots were wide open.

Yeah, Mavs weren't playing with any intensity.

On Blairs 27/23.

Its no secret Mavs have had trouble defending 4's all year..

Blair can be expected to have a good series but this was just a byproduct of both teams shooting poorly and no Duncan/Manu giving him 21 shots.

Dirk said it felt like a pre-season game.

it was planned that way, both teams not wanting to give the other team a good feel of how the series is going to go..
