haha I was planning on watching this one but once I heard Doris Burke I turned it off. Have fun with that. Doris Burke is what they would give the Rockets if they made the playoffs. Doris is the 2010 version of 2009's NBA TV

Neither of these teams plays a lick of defense and they both like to foul. The weirdly dim stadiums don't help.

The Jazz have been the most enjoyable team to watch in the NBA in the last ten years or so. Lots of screening, lots of passing and cuts, great offense, beautiful play, few ISOs and pick'n'rolls, most of the times their defense sucks.

Irreconcilable contradiction.

They're good enough offensively to make up for it. Plus, they're fundamental solid defensively, they've just been lacking good individual defenders for years.

I doubt people find the Jazz boring because they've been subpar defensively though.

They're good enough offensively to make up for it.It cannot be made up for: that's why the contradiction is irreconcilable.

That, and, of course, that isolations and pick-and-rolls are somewhat less boring to watch than a motion offense layup drill. That's why nobody wants to watch the Euroleague.

Yeps, that's why the NBA changed the rules to move the NBA game from all the ISOs and 2-man game that were dominant 6,7 years ago; because people really love to watch that kind of basketball. :sleep

Cuban and Colangelo?
The primary instigators of the rules changes of the 2004 offseason to ban certain types of defense in the NBA.

I presume that's who you're talking about.

As for isos, people didn't seem to mind them when it was Michael Jordan or Hakeem Olajuwon or Shaquille O'Neal or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or... Sports journalists simply chose to become disgruntled with the NBA and to market it in the most prejudicial manner to continued success.

They got enough of it, especially when the pace of the game kept slowing down + the defenders become bigger and faster making pretty much every game a grind out borefest. Anyway, are you actually arguing you find that kind of game more enjoyable than, say, the offense the Jazz run? I guess it's an aesthetic preference, hence highly subjective, but it's still odd.

Yes, considerably.

The Knicks-Bulls and Knicks-Heat series from the 90s and the Pistons-Pacers and Pistons-Spurs series in the 2000s were the most enjoyable basketball I've ever seen played.

As Bill Laimbeer said, basketball is a contact sport.

But they also traded away Brewer for cap space, I believe. I also think D-Will has been lobbying for the Jazz to re-up Boozer. Problem with them is, none of their bigs can stay healthy at the same time so it makes it a little tougher to evaluate the frontcourt with regard to works best for the team overall imo.

The Nuggets certainly won't make it past LA playing like this.

4-0 LAL SWEEPS DEN
4-2 LAL ELIMINATES DEN ON THEIR HOME FLOOR AGAIN

They may beat the Jazz, but only because the Jazz have like 6 players left on their roster.
Laker fans sure do love living in the past don't they?:lol Even if LA beats Denver, they're not beating the Cleveland LeBrons.

This game was a lot closer than the score showed. But ya, Jazz just depleted. This game reminded me how much I hate the nuggets. The Jazz actually arent as unlikable as I remembered. DWill is awesome.
Lol Laker fan feeling threatened.

That commercial made me laugh. Some butt fuck Nugget fan dished a pretty penny for that garbage, but at the very least, it was funny.

Anyhow, I don't know who I hate more -- the Jazz, or the Nuggets.

Dear Western Conference,

You're screwed.

Sincerely Yours,
Melo

Great win. Refs tried to call a horrible 1st half but the Nuggets stayed tough and in the end the Jazz just didn't have the bodies or energy

Dear Western Conference,

No reason to worry.

Sincerely Yours,

Best case, I knew this was going to be an interesting series. Take away home court from the Jazz and the Nets would have a chance.

LOL at those that think Durant is better than Melo ...

Id like to see Durant dupliucate that ... 42 with ONLY 2 FT's

Dint get me wrong Kevin is great but a lot of yall got that ESPN disease ALWAYS looking for who's NEXT rather than then who is RIGHT NOW
