We lost the first two games to a scorching hot Hornets team back in 2008 and wound up winning game 7 on the road.....keep that in mind the first few games.

If Manu is hitting his 3's (he's going to get to the rim) and we have a player or two that can keep us out of the offensive slumps we sometimes go into (Parker, Hill) particularly in the second unit we should be good. Blair's rebounding will come in handy amongst the trees Dallas has down low.

DALLAS -- Officially, the San Antonio Spurs have 6-foot-6 rookie D-League grad Garrett Temple listed as the starting point guard for tonight's Game 1 against the Mavericks at American Airlines Center.

Officially, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich deemed second-year guard George Hill a game-time decison. "He's probably 50-50."

Officially, that's hogwash.

"He says he's going to play," Spurs guard Manu Ginobili said after this morning's shootaround of his injured teammate, an key cog in the Spurs' grand scheme. "He's a little hesitant right now. We only had 1 1/2 practices, so it's hard after you've been out to come back. It's not going to be that easy."

Hill, who declined to chat with reporters, missed four games with a sprained right ankle before returning in Wednesday's regular-season finale in Dallas. He re-aggravated the injury after he tripped over a cameraman along the baseline in the first quarter.

Judging by Ginobili, it sounds as if Hill will start at point guard with Ginobili at shooting guard, leaving the always dangerous Tony Parker, who actually came out Friday to tell the world that Hill planned to play, to bring his slashing attack off the bench.

Parker has played in just six games, all in a reserve rolle, since returning from a month-long absence due to a broken right hand. Popovich officially declared Parker to be at full strength.

"Tony's ready to go," Popovich said.

They're usually biased to the home team..the home team wins in 70% of the games where Salvatore is the main ref, and the other 2 refs are biased to the home team as well..the difference here is that all 3 of these refs have usually been pro-Spurs this season, even when the Spurs were on the road..

Spurs are 3-1 when Salvatore is the ref this season..statistically, he's favored the Spurs..same with the other 2 refs..

I don't expect preferential treatment or anything, but these refs are usually fair when it comes to the Spurs..that's all you can ask for when it comes to officiating on the road..hopefully it stays that way..

Those refs are usually more home-biased than most of the refs in the NBA..so it should even out, or at least I hope so..

Salvatore isn't biased when it comes to FTA on either side, but the home team wins in 70% of the games he officiates..

The numbers(although obviously could be deceiving, since FTA is always deceiving) show that he calls them fair for the Spurs..
