In Game 1: We missed a lot of easy layups, we gave up a lot of easy layups, we turned the ball over 17 times, and Parker didn't attack the rim.

And we ONLY lost by 6 points.

A few corrections and we take Game 2. Go Spurs!

Original take is original

Just search around the forum before starting new threads, at least 50% of them talk about this

That horse has been beatin to death, brought back, and then beating again.

Dirk shot the best in his life (84%). Not taking anything away from him, a win is a win in the playoffs, but its not going to happen again.

Terry (who usually plays well against the Spurs) played terribly. This might also not happen again.

actually big 3 played really well... other than TOs. :-? normalyl that means a let down in game 2 after having competed so hard the whole night and losing. We need RJ/Bonner/Hill to step up. Esp hill.

I dont know if the Spurs will shoot 50 percent again...that is rare for them

As far as margin of victory in last night's game, that means little considering the Mavs had control with 2 minutes left and were basically not running anything and were just eating up clock. The last couple of minutes was basically garbage time

With that said, the Spurs did keep the game close for much of the game. San Antonio was right there for most of the game and that should be encouraging to Spurs fans that they have a shot in this series

Look guys, let's all be realistic about this.

Excuses are just that...excuses.

Regardless of the numerous turnovers, missed layups, etc.

The Spurs simply lost. There are no ways around it.

Get over it, move on to game 2 and hope for a better result.

No, I am not a troll, I am not a Mavs fan, I could care less about them.

But nonetheless, it's Mavs 1, Spurs 0.

Forget about the past championships, etc. What matters to this point is what's happening now. They (Spurs) are at a disadvantage at this time. Stay tuned for Game 2.

Accept defeat...and move on.
