Lebron and company are just amazing. UNBELIEVABLE AND UNBEATABLE is what describes the 2009-2010 Cavs. Playing out the rest of the postseason is unnecessary. Cavs are going to easily march to the championship and they won't have much of a challenge from anyone. The nba is about the Cavs and then everyone else.

First round series are pointless in the east except maybe for the 4 and 5 matchup.
Chicago would need a perfect game to win even once. And even then it would probably take some major errors by the cavs to win that one game.

They have Shaq,Jamison,Parker,Moon,Powe, and Hickson added to their team. Magic are scared of the Cavs. They aren't a threat by any means.

Bulls taking it inside at will. Even if Bulls don't win this series (it will be very hard for them because they have no one who can get hot from outside. Last year they had guys like Salmons and Gordon.) they are showing other teams how to beat the Cavs.

As good as Mo, Jamison, Shaq, etc are on offense. Defensively they are lackadaisical.

The Bulls probably played their best game of the season - they literally did everything you could ask of them to beat the Cavs tonight. They forced the ball into the hands of poor shooters, they forced lebron to take contested jumpers, they killed the Cavs weak inside defence with pick'n'rolls, they attacked the rim fearlessly... and they still lost the game.

The team has become more team-oriented overall since Ben departure, so the fit would be a bit different than it was last year as you mentioned. But they could really use his one-on-one scoring right now. The Cavs bogged down on Rose in the 4th and no one else seemed to get going.

I disagree; I'd use this series to give Shaq+Jamison time to gel on the defensive end. Hickson may be younger but he's much better offensively than defensively; while I agree he'd make more sense in this series vs. the Bulls, I think some guys the Cavs will face in the following rounds would take advantage of him. If the Cavs don't improve Shaq+Jamison chemistry on the defensive end, they can be in trouble later on.

It's the only argument that Kobe homers can fall back on in the comparison between James and Kobe, and Jordan as well (heard many Kobe homers tout the oft repeated quote by Phil Jackson that "Kobe's more skilled than MJ").

Who gives a shit about skill-set? All that matters is getting the ball in the basket, regardless of how you do it. KG is more "skilled" than a prime Shaq, but no one in their right mind would take Garnett over Shaq.

In my mind if you have one weapon, which is you're only weapon, that's 20 times more efficient than another player's combined arsenal, you're a better basketball player.

Once James win the title this year and surpasses everything Kobe's ever done as a number one option (two straight regular season MVPs, winning the MVP, the championship and Finals MVP in the same year, which every other top-ten all-time players has done besides Robertson and Wilt, oh and Kobe, who I guess is in the top-ten by default) we can finally end this debate and stick Kobe where he belongs.

They're all still essentially trees out there, whereas Hickson is a live, athletic body and the team plays better with him and AV on the floor. I can see the overall premise for your point, particularly with Shaq being out for so long and just coming back and the Bulls not presenting a real threat, but moving forward I think you go with what makes your team better overall.

JoeTait75
04-19-2010, 10:10 PM
They could use Hickson in the pick-and-roll with LeBron and attack the basket against this team too. Hickson couldn't play worse defense than Z anyway. Z's value is that he does a decent job on Gasol and terrorizes Al Horford. Other than that he's pretty much an ornament this point.
