How will he pan out? Will sloan play him?

This kid is huge, a legit 7'1 300lbs with 9'4' wingspan wide frame. I think if he gets constant pt he can be a huge defensive presence.

Not to mention he's only 23!

The jazz with deron/korver/ak47/boozer or millsap/fesenko would be a very balanced in terms of o, good defenders at key positions in nba(pg,wing,c), excelent rebounding... feel sorry for their health problems.
I'm curious what will the jazz do with ny's pick, if it'll be well spent and they get rid of boozer/okur and sign adequate bigs they can be contenders.

Jazz fans have been calling for Sloan to play him all year, but alas, he rotted on the bench. He'd get sporadic minutes here and there, but never really got a chance. We all knew we'd need him in the event of an injury, and look at what we've got now -- an under-developed 7 footer. As a Jazz fan, you only have to watch the Lakers butt fuck our bigs in every single game to know that something needs to be done. Fes should be the answer, but we'll probably never know because Sloan refuses to play him.

In Sloan's defense, he is a lazy mother fucker who always comes into camp out of shape, smokes like a chimney, and parties like it's 1999. I have a friend who bribed a 'beer bitch' at one of the games to take a drink to Fes on the bench -- she did, and he took it, poured it into a Gatorade cup when nobody was looking, and drank it during the game. That really should tell you what kind of attitude he has in regards to actually getting better and/or playing hard.

All that being said, I love him and his game. Sucks that Okur is out, but this is a pretty good silver lining, imo.

Don't forget, they have a C/PF in Europe right now, Ante Tomic, who might just be the most impressive big man in the Euroleague right now. Granted, his surge was a bit of a surprise, but the boy has legit skills. The Jazz have a lot of options for their frontcourt for years to come.

Huh? Now everybody will suddenly discover they've always been fans of Fesenko...

TroutBum, Fes quit smoking last Summer.

Fesenko fouls like a rookie, he needs a lot of game experience. Tomic needs a doctor to design a special nutritional Summer program for him.

Sloan should have given more minutes to Jeffers. He should play him more in this series. He's a reliable player already.

I sense a KBP post coming anytime soon...

Um, have you seen him play? He's a D-League all star at best.

Don't you have some KG pictures/video's to go jerk off to? GTFO of this thread, as it's obvious you don't have a fucking clue about what's going on. Jeffers? Really?

Yeps. Jeffers has All-D team potential.

And you're also way wrong about Tomic.

And you're also way wrong about Tomic.

Jeffers is such a revelation, that he sat in the D-League for the majority of the year, and gets zero time on an injury depleted team. Gotcha.

Tomic is a better looking version of Kosta Koufos, that's about it. He'll never make it in the NBA.

Bill Laimbeer, Bruce Bowen, Ben Wallace and Stephen Jackson couldn't even get a roster spot in the NBA for awhile. Since when a guy not playing is definitive proof he can't play? And Jeffers was one of the earliest D-League call-ups. He was called about the same time of the Warriors' Reggie Williams, who was the most successful call-up of the season. He was called up before Spurs' Garrett Temple, for example.

Koufos is a stiff who doesn't have a single NBA talent. Not a NBA player now and likely never. Have you actually watched Tomic playing? As enditry said, Tomic is probably the most impressive big man in Europe right now. He has some flaws, but saying he'll never make it in the NBA, considering the success lesser players in Europe have had, is bizarre.
