"Right now his most likely spot is 20-30," the source said of the 21-year-old, who played in the ISSA/KFC High Schools Basketball League and was spotted by overseas scouts in the KFC Star Search programme.

"His stocks have really risen. This is a big jump from mid-second round to undrafted which happened after impressive showings with a number of teams such as the Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves and a number of them have requested a second workout," he continued.

DX still has him listed on thier 2011 mock, but in the news section they say he has hired an agent and is in the draft. ??

DX has done a poor job at updating their mock draft. They are late on the latest trends and have some players at weird spots.

I don't know what happens with them but their draft coverage has significantly dropped.

I think there is a pretty simple explanation. Givony has finally established himself among commentators and draft evaluators, so he get's invited a lot. (he was talking about being on the road for almost a month in a row). in the past years he never had that many interviews and reports from work outs etc.
but the site still seems pretty much to be a one man show. so he just doesn't have the time to accurately and permanently update the mocks.
however.
agree that the quality of the draft coverage and the mocks has dropped. sadly.
touring Europe to watch some 2nd level games from Italy or Belgium (or where ever he went to) to report about some prospects with a 0.1% chance to get drafted in 2014 probably isn't the most efficient way to run a site like that.
(still by far the best draft database though)

The parade of potential talent for the San Antonio Spurs pushes forward as the Spurs continue player workouts before the 2010 NBA Draft. This time the Spurs worked out Samardo Samules from Lousiville.

According to The Gleaner, the Spurs have worked out Samuels:

"His stocks have really risen. This is a big jump from mid-second round to undrafted which happened after impressive showings with a number of teams such as the Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves and a number of them have requested a second workout," he continued.

According to the source, Samuels has improved with every workout, which began in Miami.

"Samardo is showing that he has all the tools. In his workouts he shot phenomenally from the field and displayed adept basketball skills, qualities about him that were not widely known before.

"He is also hitting a lot of three-pointers and the feedback we are getting is that in terms of shape, size and skill readiness for the NBA, he is one the most impressive," said the source of the Louisville sophomore."
Samuels is a 6'8", 240 lbs., power-forward. He averaged 15.3 points, shot 52.4% from the field, and averaged seven rebounds for Lousiville in 2009-2010.

don't know why Samuels hasn't been measured (wasn't he invited?).
pretty sure he would have been one of those "better than expected" guys.
just telling in comparison to his measured team mates from Luiville (Clark and Williams) he should be a 6'8'' without shoes and a 6'9''+ in shoes.

if he could develop a somehow reliable jumper from 15', he would become a pretty similar package like Udonis Haslem.

for the 2nd rounder a nice option. I don't see where he gets his minutes with Dice and Blair on the roster though. (as a potential replacement for Dice he is intriguing for the 2011-12 season)

this is the original link. to put things in perspective, this is an article from a Jamaican site, talking about a Jamaican prospect.............

and all the hype comes from just one man, who is named "a source". the longer the writing, the more overblown.
example:

"He is moving like a guard while maintaining his post-up game. He is being described as similar to Carlos Boozer and Elton Brand, but with better ball-handling skills - a more dynamic player. Because of his skills and first step he is uncomfortable to handle for both the big guys and the smaller guys," said the man who described Samuels' progress as one of the most meteoric rises in NBA pre-draft projections.

wow. now I'm pretty sure we try to trade up from #20 to somehow get this guy.:downspin:

The guy just described Hakeem Olajuwon from the short paragraph I just saw.
