Tim's moves were quick and decisive. He schooled Haywood. He freed up Manu who has the stroke going!

Absolutely the greatest of all time. He weathered the storm for us tonight when we needed to hold off the mavs.

Love you Timmy:toast

It`s obvious that Tim, Manu and RJ played great. But also Tony did.

He led game, with Bonner, Blair on court. He wasn`t ballhoging. Had 8 asts. Had some great penetrations. Really great game, by TP. Keep it going.

Tonight he reminded me of how great he truly is. It's easy to forget with 12 straight years of excellence, but watching him battle injury/age towards the end of the season and then now has just been a pleasure.

That is a quiet 25 and 17.

It usually is. He's so good in so many ways he just quietly wins games. No flash needed. :)

Best player on the floor. And some people say he's not top 10 all time. Disgraceful.

Will he get the same mad prop Dirk got for his game 1 performance?

The best player tonight.

Sure, almost everyone showed, but Timmy made that (like some poster said) silent 25/17 without making too much noise and showed his best in the hardest part of the Dallas run.

a quiet takeover, a quiet 25 and 17, the anti-Garnett. We're lucky, damn lucky.

Tim Duncan is such a great player. We are used to watch #21 play like this night in and night out, but we need to realize that we have in our team the best PF ever and a top 10 all time player. Amazing. A fifth ring will cement his legacy and put him above Shaq and Hakeem. Letīs do it. Iīm sure Manu wants another ring before he retires also. Call me crazy, but I think that we have a chance...

Now THAT was some SPURS BASKETBALL!!!!!

Hell yea! Led by Tim, who is rested and focused and still playing sharp after all these campaigns. Team Defense, gets stops when the bleeding starts and Manu puts a dagger in the bad guys. That's how we roll! :toast

That was all done on Haywood. He's the center they want to keep, and they're talking about dumping Damp. Tim's just too big for Haywood to handle consistently. He can get two or three butt bumps on him and get to a position where that little jumper or soft hook is automatic.

Eight crunch time points in a row at the most crucial moment of the season.

Perhaps Tim's performane was so quiet because the Mav fans hit the exits early after the Tim and Manu knockout combo.

Perhaps even better than his scoring was his rotational defense and rebounding.

Duncan completely controlled this game. Totally took over when we needed it.

He is unbelievable.

Chris Webber thought Haywood could take Timmy. Funny. Did Webber forget how bad Timmy abused him over the years or did webber remember how washed up he was at Timmy's age?

ShoogarBear
04-21-2010, 11:53 PM
Dampier has historically given Duncan problems, but tonight other than offensive rebounding, he was teh suckage for the Mavs.

Well, not exactly. The Wizards, under Eddie Johnson, would usually throw Jared Jefferies at Timmy. Or they would send constant help at the guy defending Duncan. I can't remember Haywood ever defending Duncan well one-on-one.

The Timmy and Manu show is a thing of beauty. We are so fortunate to have these guys on our team. Great players, who are unselfish and willing to forgo bigger salaries for the good of the team. It's been an absolute pleasure watching them play all these years. I hope they have one last good fight left in them - as Kenny said "they're the George Foreman team".

I wasn't exactly talking about that..Duncan has played well against Haywood these last few years in general, I was just talking about the regular season until about 2 years ago..Haywood's length used to bother him IMO, but Tim has played well against him in their most recent matchups..
