Fernandez is pitiful right now.

As long as Phoenix executes at a decent level, they should have this.

Are you kidding me your up by 18 lol

Nash and Stoudamire are taking turns brickin, makes my eyes bleed watching that. I wouldn't be comfortable with a 40 point lead, the blazers just figure out how to win much of the time. I don't know how, but they do.

lil_penny
04-22-2010, 09:46 PM
this game is over pauls.. blazers can't score or play defense for shit for the 2nd consecutive game. You guys knocked us out early tonight.

Jeremy
04-22-2010, 09:48 PM
WOW--no other Suns coach would have EVER done that. Not Westphal, not even Cotton.

I'm loving Dragic, finally Pho has a PG on the bench who can maintain or even build on existing leads.

Hot Shit! I noticed that too! I've lost count of how many times Dantoni, and Westphal would just watch huge leads get pissed away without addressing issues with D.

Yeah, and I don't think any Suns coach would have done it that quick--usually a coach waits at least until a lead goes down by 5 or so.

That Game 1 performance would still really be bothering me, except that maybe it helped give the Suns some more mental toughness that they needed.

Batum will not return in this game.

Jeremy
04-22-2010, 10:33 PM
Suns need to keep the lead up big, so we can rest our starters again in the 4th quarter, with an almost back-to-back game on Saturday at 1:30 PM.

Yes, much less benevloent than Garnetts, but the portland announcers have nothing better to talk about. Portland going all out right now vs the Suns subs.

edit: his elbow didn't really leave his body like garnet's so I think it'll slide.

What Stoudemire did was not worse than what Kobe did in game 2 vs OKC. Tough luck he doesnt' play for Los Angeles.

Jeremy

Actually, if we can hold their run off right here, maybe it'll give them less confidence for Game 4.

The worst thing about the Portland comeback may be the Suns' starters not getting to rest the 4th quarter, with an almost back-to-back game coming up.

I strongly suspect this won't be the last time in this series we'll be watching Travis Diener subbing in.

Ya, I was hoping the subs could pull it, but they couldn't and Gentry wasn't taking any chances. They have homecourt back and blowing this one would have been devastating. I think Portland's rough play really bothered Dragic.

ya, JRich is an athletic scorer while Raja was an athletic defender with a 3pt shot as a bonus.

Great game, but the Suns really f'd up. No starter should have had to play the 4th quarter with the 1st half they had. Portland just became uber aggressive all of a sudden when the suns bench came in and rattled them forcing the starters back in who were probably wound down not ready to play more.

Also, I'm not letting nash off the hook. Rudy was his guy and ran off like 3 consecutive 3's that gave Portland confidence. Rudy's not going to kill you with layups and midrange jumpshots Stevo!!!

BTW, is the next game in Portland too? After 2 beatdowns I expect Portoland to throw the kitchen sink at the suns during their next home game.

I didn't watch the game continually because I had a report to write, but looking at the play by play I'm not sure what you're talking about. With all the starters in, Suns were leading by 24. Subs come in and Bayless makes an and1 just before the end of the 3rd. In the fourth Howard makes a shot, the lead is down to 19 and then Suns starters come back in and Portland cuts the lead to 11. After that Suns regain control.

There was a significant momentum swing when they started rough housing Dragic keeping the suns from getting into their offensive sets. Then the starters who didn't think they'd have to come back in had to be reinsterted making things worse momentarily.

Either way, this is good practice if the Suns make it to the second round to play the Spurs.

:lmao pretending you're a Dragic fan, you find any reason to blame him for anything. Dragic had nothing do with Nash leaving Fernandez open and catching fire.

Portland definitely gained some momentum heading into game four. The Suns went cold in that third quarter.

I hope it doesnt carry over.

They spent 15 min vilifying Amare for throwing an elbow and then Bayless walks over to Lou and intentionally pushes him AFTER a play and they laugh it off saying it is all "part of the playoffs."

The Portland announcers are about the biggest fucking tools in the god damn world.

The elbow they were talking about with Amare was Batum literally running into his elbow, it didn't even leave the side of his body. Batum initiated contact wit his elbow, I'd be surprised if the NBA even issues a statement about that "elbow". I'll be beyond pissed if Portland announcers whining and making a mountain out of something that wasn't even a mole hill gets Amare suspended also.

As much as I liked him at UA, Bayless is a bitch. I used to hate on McMillan for not giving him PT but someone with an attitude that bad deserves to be planted on the bench.

Agreed, they wouldn't let it go. Had nothing better to talk about and even if they somehow got a miracle, Amare would be out for a road game and they'd clean house back in Pho.

However he did sorta throw an elbow but he kept it against his body rather than extending it out and into the opponent's face like Garnet did.

This is what made having to put the starters back in bad. I was afraid they'd start rough housing Amare trying to make him lose his cool.
