i don't know what it is i have no other symptoms just a really sore throat, i can't even eat or drink and it's driving me crazy, any suggestions?

i have been chugging buckleys and benylin like it was water the last 2 days

It's weird because none of that supposed instant sore throat spray does nothing for me. Honestly it seems to make it feel worse. A sore throat for me is just one of those symptoms that has to go away on its own. I can't drink anything that does not have carbonation in it without that gut wrenching feeling as you try to swallow.

I think most of those "no other symptom" sore throats happen from post nasal drip, especially while we sleep. I always try gargling with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp Arm&Hammer dissolved in a small glass of warm water. If it's post nasal drip, that cures my throat immediately.

Take some antibiotics for 5 days and it should go away. For temporary relief you could try drinking some hot tea with lemon and honey.

Not if it is viral or an allergy.

Could it be cedar fever (allergy to cedar pollen)? I got an excruciating sore throat from that and it ended up getting infected and becoming bronchitis (not fun).

This is good.

Sore throats are my least favorite sickness.
Try heating up a little pickle juice with a little salt in it and then sip on that. It may sound nasty but it worked for me.
