View Full Version : Are the lakers imploding in front of our eyes?

did you notice last night lakers were bickering with each other for most of the game?

I noticed Fisher was screaming and Artest was screaming back. Also their on court communitation seems like it's nonexistent. Fish was caught with a screen and no laker warned him and Fish got pissed and went off again at his teamates.

Also seems like Gasol has been all on his own world and does not talk much to the other players. Seems like he is fed up with what's going on and Kobe's attitude.

On top of all Kobe is proving he is the worst team leader in the playoffs. Actually the real leader of the Lakers is Fisher, how can that be?

In other words this reminds me of the lakers of 2003. Imploding in front of out very eyes.

They've been imploding. OKC came pretty close to winning the earlier games which simply shouldn't happen with a ballclub as talented and experience as LA :)

LOL, praying that the lakers implode. The lakers played undisciplined as hell & were still in control most of the game..Nobody in the west can beat them 4 out of 7

We'll see. I can't imagine the Lakers losing at home to OKC in this series, but strange things happen.

:lol Ppl seem to forget a midget Houston team took LA to seven games last season. If you havent noticed all year, teams that are hella athletic & young play well vs LA..Nobody else is the playoffs has a bunch of kids that are this fast & play this uptempo style. That said, OKC has about a 3% chance of winning 3 out of the 4 remaining games.

I've said this from the beginning, and it should come as a surprise to no one. Ron Artest is just not a good fit on that team, I mean you have to like the dude b/c he is crazy as hell, but he isn't as athletic as Ariza, plus the chemistry between Ariza and Kobe was better than with Artest and Kobe. Artest is still a good defender, but he has lost a step. Kobe is clearly on the decline, no matter how you Kobe nuthuggers try to deny it (Especially Jim Rome) Fisher is in a freefall, he got exposed last year, and he is taking it up the ass in the first round this year. Bynum is too inconsistent, as is Odom. Gasol can get his every night, it just comes down to will he man up tonight? Overall, they are old, and should be beating a Thunder squad who is in the playoffs for the first time, but instead, the Thunder are wearing them down

Are you seriously laughing about the 8 seed full of no playoff experience that just beat you?

lakers always lose game 3 after being up 2-0 they do it so they can win it at home

I don't think they're imploding, but I do agree that Gasol hasn't looked happy this season..I can't blame him..he doesn't get enough touches, the team has a great record this season when he's the focal point(and Kobe's out), yet he still has to listen to "MVP" chants for Kobe from annoying Lakers fans..

Gasol gets plenty of touches.... whether he wants to be a pussy when he gets the ball is up to him.

I was referring to the lakers on-court chemistry, communication and the fact that Kobe is not the team's leader. I have yet to read a lakerfan's take on those subjects.

Non issue. Aside from Artest, this is still the same Laker squad from '09.
Leaders are overrated. EVERYONE has to step up.

Last time I checked, Pro NBA players are human just as well and subject to all shortcoming regular humans encounter.

Just concentrate on imploding the Mavs & Suns and less time shrinking our team's gourd.

The Suns get by you and I'll make you sorry your daddy ever squirted your ass out.

Jefferson molding into the Spurs system was a textbook example of how proper chemistry is achieved.

The question is....Why not Jefferson?

In fact, lets refocus this entire thread on Jefferson shall we?

There is no chemistry issues with Artest and gang. Be real.

Muser
04-23-2010, 01:57 PM
What? Just kinda strange how you suddenly come up with RJ in a Laker thread. And it's not chemistry issues, just Artest not being as good as he used to.

The Lakers are always a bunch of Prima Donna crybabies. If it wasn't Kobe vs Shaq, Kobe vs Phil, Kupcheck vs Kobe, Odom vs Kobe, Bynum being thrown under a bus, Gasol being chewed out by Kobe...see a pattern here? Artest is nothing.

The Lakers have always been drama queens. Always have always will be.
