Any other Dallas Maverick fans want to join in on this guarantee win in game 4?

You stupid bastard. I know Avery Johnson shat in your Frosted Mini-Wheats and ruined all your childhood memories of the Spurs but this Mavs shtick of yours is getting beyond ridiculous. Does Mav Fan even claim you as his own? I mean, what's the appeal of some 50-something burnout fuckstick whose biggest accomplishment in the last 20 years is getting the 60-day sobriety token from his AA class (or was it a gold star for holding down a job for two months? I forget) hitching on to your bandwagon? The Mavs will win Game 4 if they can find a way to stop Parker and Duncan from showing up to the game. Not because some flip-flopping, emo cock sucking Mavs fan bandwagoner on SpursTalk made some worthless guarantee. Fucking loser.

I think game 3 was a more likely indicator of the series... the Mavs have to win 3 out of the next four against us to advance now. Not likely with the way the guys are playing and defending out there.

I hate to ruin it for you but did you not see the final score of game 1? A few missed shots by Dallas and a few made shots by San Antonio and the spurs are up 3-0.
And let me remind you, you tall midget. Have you forgotten the Golden State Warriors? And the Miami Heat? What about the fact that it took a bad foul a few short years ago to prevent the Mavs from choking away a 3-1 lead?

It's never intelligent to guarantee a win when the opposition has the best, arguably the second best and three of the top four players in the series, in addition to home court (though I don't think this is that important in this series, you'd still prefer to have it than not).
However, I fear this will be the result as well. As much as I believe the Spurs are better, they're not better in a landslide. So it's hard for me to envision one team winning three straight over the other. Unfortunately, due to the quick turnaround, Duncan, already due for an off shooting night, will probably be gassed, after playing 44 minutes last night.
If the Spurs don't get better production from spots seven, eight and nine in the rotation, or another big game from Jefferson, I don't see them winning game four. Butler, Marion, Haywood, those guys are going to be fired up and they're all due to play well.
Pop needs to not get cute with the rotation. Nobody wants to see Duncan have to play 44 minutes again (including the entire 2nd half), or Hill 45 minutes or Ginobili 16 straight minutes, ideally, but game four is all about getting a stranglehold on this series; not worrying about what's ideal. If Blair struggles in his initial rotation, yank him quickly and permanently. If Bonner can't make a shot, yank him and limit his minutes the rest of the way. The same goes for Mason (or Bogans, if he get's in). Either they make some semblance of a contribution in some area almost immediately, or get off the court and keep them stapled to the bench. Most games in this series, it's enough that these guys don't kill the Spurs. This one, I get the feeling they're going to need to contribute something in order for the Spurs to win.
you didn't address the more important question: this forum (which you never post in) or spurstalk as a whole?
i hope it's the latter

You'd think that, wouldn't you? He seems like one of those players that can play a ton of minutes without wearing down, because he doesn't play the type of game that is physically draining. Duncan is banging in the post, is the primary rebounder and lone rim protector on the Spurs. Ginobili and Parker drive headlong into traffic, relentlessly attacking the rim. Nowitzki, for the most part, runs from one free throw line to the other (or within the vicinity), catches, pump fakes a few times and goes into his shot. He doesn't drive all that often, rarely ever plays in the low post, isn't asked to be his teams primary rebounder and offers no discernible rim protection. On top of all this, he's not known to have knee problems or quad tendonosis, that flares up more the less rest it get's.

I'm no TD hater, and obviously is my favorite b-ball player EVER, but during the game I wish your rules had applied to them. I was sick of Manu and TD forcing shit up in the first half when they were not making jack (TD), or shooting under 30% (Manu). I believe Blair should have continued getting PT after he had proven he was en fuego, and Dice had been subbed out instead. Also, Manu should have deferred more to GH3. Motherfucker was killing it with beautiful jay after beautiful jay. I prefer drives to the rim, but when you can't miss, why drive the paint for a cheap shot?

I know I'm just gonna run into his bitch ass (troll or otherwise) in the Club, so this is actually a pretty hollow victory.
