San Antonio made a big step forward to the playoffs semi finals after a third victory over Dallas.
Tony, after a crazy game, you finally won Dallas 92-89…
It was really crazy. But we have to stay clear-headed. The job is not done yet. We’re now leading 3-1 and it’s true we’ve made a big step forward to the semi finals. But we’re not there yet. We still have a game to win and Dallas is not going to give it away. They’ll never give up.
But losing a game while you’re leading 15 points is hard to deal with?
Of course it’s hard! The Mavericks have just been knocked out. But we shouldn’t bury them. If we managed to change the game it’s because the fans were behind us. They supported us until the very end. In two days, it’s Dallas turn to count on their fans.
Tim Duncan only scored 4 points in the whole game. Manu Ginobili wasn’t very successful either. How can you explain this victory?
It’s all about the Spurs as a whole. It makes the difference when the major players are not successful. In this Game 4, it was George Hill’s night (29 points). But there’s also the huge defense performance of Antonio Mc Dyess on Dirk Nowitski. If Nowitski wasn’t as good as usual it’s because of Antonio’s job. Besides that, there is also Richard Jefferson or Blair, who grabbed very important offensive rebounds.
What can you tell us about Tuesday’s game ?
We want to finish the job. We have to give Dallas no chances to come back. We’re going to work very seriously for 2 days so we could be done with this series.

I hope he does. The Spurs need to get this series over with to get some rest after such a physical series.

Anything is possible for this game 5: a blow out win for the mavs, a mavs mental colapse or a tight game but the Spurs must go there for the Win, we need to close this shit. I would hate to see a game 7 tbh.

Spurs could really benefit from finishing this off in Game 5, since the OKC-LAL series is likely to go to 7.

TP looked pissed when Pop pulled him for RJ at the end of the game. Anyone hear anything?

close it out tony! the big 3 struggling last game could end up being a good thing. Pretty sure all 3 will bounce back after a lackluster performace and keep game 5 close down the stretch. should be interesting

Let's just rest off and get ready for game 5, since the OKC-LAL series is irrelevant to the team this time.

It's the players' job to "focus on game 5" and "not think about OKC-LAL."

It's a luxury for the fans to think about these scenarios.

I never understood the point of these "OH WAIT GUYS WAIT A SECOND LET'S NOT GET AHEAD OF OURSELVES WE NEED TO FOCUS ON WINNING THIS SERIES FIRST"

It's like..seriously? We don't need to focus... at all...because nothing we do has bearing on the outcome of the series. The players need to focus and they are likely doing that.

If we advance, we get the winner of POR/PHO, not OKC/LAL.

We can get this shit finished in 5 games if Parker plays like he did last postseason.

Hopefully he shook off the cobwebs from the huge egg he laid in game 4.

You can just tell that smug frenchie hates his teammates and wants all the glory to himself.

Selfish bastard.

More serioulsly, I can't help but thinking that Tony must be MAD at not being a starter anymore...
If I'm right, props to him for not showing it!

I do think though that he won't fit long in that role...
