big fan of Japanese here. I know some phrases and greetings, but that's it. would like to learn more, but it's confusing as they have a different sentence structure than English. They use SOV and English uses SVO. Confuses the hell out of me :downspin:

I can speak and/or understand Italian, French, and Spanish, so those are the first that came to mind, but if I had to go purely on how something sounds... Japanese is pretty badass. And some of the African languages are really beautiful.

I don't know how a certain language can sound cool, so instead I'll go by what language sounds sexiest from a female since I think that's what everyone is interpreting it to be anyway. Its gotta be French and German for me. Italian and any Asian language annoys the hell out of me

I love French wine, like I love the French language. I have sampled every language, French is my favorite. Fantastic language. Especially to curse with. Nom de dieu de putain de bordel de merde de saloperie de connard d'enculé de ta mère. It's like wiping your arse with silk. I love it.

We went on a tour when I first got stationed here at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

The tour guide was telling us how to pronounce things in Hawaii. Then he told a story of a guy who came up to him asking about the Pee-pay-lee-nay beach. He's like, "What? I've lived here my whole life and have never heard of that one."

The guy handed him a map... he was looking for Pipeline beach. *facepalm* Heh.

Trying to drive in Hawaii is awesome for that reason... my poor wife has to try to say the signs. "Ok, turn left at Hika...Heekaylooka.... it starts with an H and has a ton of letters."

French and Arabic can sound quite smooth, much more so than German or Hebrew.
I am fascinated by Japanese...

But for the life of me, I can not figure out how people can read/write Arabic... The permutations of the letters are unimaginably complex. And all the glyphic-style languages like most of those in Asia are absurdly precise... It is amazing.

And Klingon is truly awesome. Elvish is ghey.

i had a spanish teacher who was a costa rican national and looked like Penelope Cruz but with bigger melones. i think it's their use of vos and emphasis on "proper" spanish. she said tex-mex was the dirtiest language she's ever heard :lol.
