So, while all this discussion of the Thunder’s brilliant quickness and athleticism was taking place, a Lakers spokesman interrupted to announce Bryant has issues with…arthritis (http://topics.ocregister.com/topic/Arthritis).

The problem is in Bryant’s right index finger, but the timing and irony of the announcement was too good to be scripted. The Thunder is athletic; the Lakers are arthritic. What’s next for this team? Bed sores? Angina? If the Lakers emerge as NBA champions again will they forgo rings in favor of diamond-encrusted Miracle Ears?

The Lakers' deficiencies can be summed up as follows:

Over the Hill: Kobe Bryant, No longer great…Solid but no longer a superstar…(Wants to pass the ball but they just pass it back)…

Over the Hill: Derek Fisher.. Russell Westbrook is eating Derrick Fisher up. At times, it's like Fish is getting his shorts pulled down on the court..

Soft: Pau Gasol…Thinks he is a real Hollywood actor…

Scrubs: Josh Powell, Jordan Farmar, DJ Mbenga, (Could not make the Clippers 2nd team)…

Not Ready For Primetime: Andrew Bynum, Shannon Brown…

Lost & Generally Inept: Ron Artest, Shannon Brown, Lamar Odom..

Just pathetic: Sasha Vujajic…

Now there are moments of lucidity, but when all the deficiencies collide and the timing's just right, well, you lose to anyone…Thunder in 7!

Since I don't see them mentioned here I can only assume that you are counting Luke Walton and Adam Morrison as bright spots for this Lakers team.

I was not aware that Luke Walton and Adam Morrison were even still on the Lakers roster…:lol

Is this another excuse for him to leave the game early again to get treatment for his finger if they lose by 20 again?

We all know the only person beating the Mamba is Mamba itself.
