Spurs have thrown in the towel here and decided to give this one to the Mavs. Probably knew the refs would do their best to make sure the Mavs won anyway, just do it for them.

Dummass Mavs announcers are saying Butler doesn't nee to shoot jumpshots, needs to take it to the rack. NOthing good happens when you become a jumpshooting team. Well, I hate them but they are correct.

Refs played no part in how shitty the Spurs are tonight. And I seriously hope they are not so mentally fragile that just mere thought of potential favoritism breaks 'em.

One game is an aberration and can be chalked up to just a bad game. But two useless games from Manu and TD?

I will predict that some Mavs fan will start a thread talking about finally having a second decently officiated game in this series, since after all, fair officiating = huge Mavericks FTA advantage.

The big advantage tonight has nothing to do with officiating and everything to do with a lack of effort by the Spurs, but it does seem to be the constant refrain from Mav fan.

not to mention it gives the mavs a false sense of confidence. let them think they actually did something different...which they aren't. they're just hitting some lucky shots, riding on adrenaline and fear of getting bounced from the playoffs on their home floor

Inexcusable effort and play from the Spurs. Spurs gave Dallas NO RESPECT IMO by coming with this kind of pathetic effort.

Johnny ludden needs to re-write that article. The young guys said they won't back down, well most players not only backed down, but they fucking laid down in the fetal position.

Can't blame the young guys when even the old geezers fail to show up two games in a row.

Actually the young guys did OK IMO. Hill is having a decent game, Blair at least hustled despite picking up all those fouls.

The problem is that Tim, Manu, RJ and Dice have decided to take the night off. Bonner has reverted to being Bonner after hitting a shot or two. Mason is a joke. TP is the only veteran out there competing.

This can now be classified as a "throw-away game". Glad to see the bench mob still scrapping though. Dallas can't carry this score over to Game 6, it starts at 0-0 and if we're on our game from jump we should have a good chance of closing it out....they've still yet to win there.

Just another dimension in which the Spurs have assumed the fetal position in this game.

Otherwise, they've just conceded the physical aspect of the game to the Mavs, giving the Mavs even a greater psychological edge and momentum for game 6.

Not at center against Haywood... he's too slim, he'd get overpowered on rebounds constantly. But against Dirk, he could put some pressure in the paint that Bonner and Dice never do.

U're right I didn't mean against him but to counter the same profile young big who can blk rebound and alter shots.

Even if they come out like they did for game 4, they'll lose game 6.

True. I hope Pop doesn't revert back to regular season Pop and play Bonner and Mason over 10 combined minutes. Bonner has been shit from the start. Mason is below shit.

This move by Pop makes everything positive he's done in game 1-4 moot to me.

If we lose game 6 we lose the series, end of story. I'll bet my taint on it.

If we win game 6, we get have slim chance to keep up with the athletic Suns.

Prahps Pop.

This game was just terrible. Just a complete blow-out. So disappointing, but I am not surprised. To be honest, I would have been more surprised had Dallas lost game 5.
