America, eatin' my lunch from a single bowl in my parents basement, where I'm livin'. Happy Birthday, I'm forty-three.

Don't want to waste those precious calories...chewin'. Jesus come move my jaw for me, help me get my sloppy food down my throat.

Why did it take that long for the genius ZenMaster to figure that out. Fisher doesn't have to guard Sefalosha.

He doesn't like making these kinds of moves until he absolutely has to.

Same shit happened in '04 against the Spurs. Parker was murdering us in the 1st two games, it wasn't until Game 3 that he finally made the necessary adjustments to put the clamps on him.

One thing I do admire about Kobe is that he is a game-changer on both ends. True superstars can do that. The switch onto Westbrook was a great idea and obviously looks brilliant so far.

Kobe's very versatile defensively and Phil has used him to guard a lot of "problem" guards and SFs that gave the Lakers fits over the years. When Iverson was killing the Lakers back in the day, Kobe would be switched onto him. Last few years Phil has taken to putting Kobe on Rondo and Fisher on Allen and that has worked pretty well. Kobe's also been known to guard Melo -- less successfully, Melo's just too big for him but have to like the effort.

This may have the added benefit of allowing him to re-focus his energy more on D which would make him a more balanced player on offense. For one quarter, he and the team looked fantastic on both ends.

Harden is the obvious counter move, but the rookie hasn't played well in LA. See if that holds true tonight.

Artest going away from the hair-dye didn't hurt either.

The 'move' was to play at Staples...

The 'move' was to play at Staples...

And now they (OKC) are going to have to put something together just to get back there.

He's shooting 30% dude.

Against Fisher it was almost double that.

I like how Phil always waits until its ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY AT THE LAST MOMENT to make adjustments.

Against Fisher it was almost double that.

Not to mention, Kobe completely shut down Westbrook's dribble penetration which was the number 1 issue destroying the Lakers defensively. Westbrook was reduced to throwing up contested 3's. Even if he makes that shot a couple times the Lakers will live with that all the way to the 2nd round.

Judging solely from the box score, it look like Phil finally put Kobe in timeout and let the frontcourt wreck shop like they should have.

Eh...I still think OKC takes it at home in Game 6 in front of that crazy-ass crowd...but then LA will just take it right back at them in Game 7.

westbrook not getting as much as he normally does had NOTHING to do with kobe, and everything to do with the fact they could not get into their transition game. kobe can NOT guard westbrook, he doesnt have the foot speed. okc was just out of sync all night, but lets see what he can do against him back in okc where he is sure to be able to get it going.

OKC just looked shell shocked from the beginning. The road pressure, especially in LA really got to them. Young team...
