Stuff like that happens a lot more in hockey than in basketball and baseball.

-#1 losing to #8s.
-Teams come back from 1-3 deficits to win a series.
-Even teams coming back from 0-3 deficits to win series.

I don't watch a lot of hockey, but I think it's because a hot goalie can essentially decide the series. It seems that's what happened to the Caps. In addition to them being stinking choking dogs, of course.

I normally don't advocate the dismissal of coaches, because I get sick of musical chairs, but a couple summers ago when the Hawks were bandying about the idea of firing Woodson, they should have. I didn't watch ATL this year, but the Hawks should have been legit a couple years earlier than they were and they shouldn't be losing this series.

Like I said, I haven't watched this year, but I know from years past that the guy can't coach. They win in spite of Mike Woodson.

They've made the Playoffs on the sum of their individual talents alone, but Woodson has not groomed any of them to become better players or developed a system to maximize the potential of their combined talents.
