Annoying: Players pointing on out-of-bounds calls

When the ball goes out-of-bounds, several players from both teams normally point in the direction they want the call to go.

This has now become the most annoying thing for me about watching NBA games. Look, it's the refs' job to make the call, and you're not going to influence him by pointing, so just wait for it, OK? It just makes you look stupid, especially when it's an obvious call (which it often is).

The now second-most annoying thing for me is the ritual after the first free throw, where the shooter's teammates step to the foul line and touch hands with the shooter, whether he swishes it or bricks it. This just wastes time and should be abolished by making it a violation.

Do you agree? Or are there other little things like this you find more annoying?

Neither bothers me.

Excessive whining bothers me. Can't think of much else that bothers me about the pro game. I think it's pretty good as-is.

You know what bothers me the most, it's when a player doesn't grab the ball when it's going out of bounds because he thinks the refs saw the opposing team touching it last. If you can grab the ball, then grab it!!! You really don't know what the refs are going to call it

I don't find either to be bad at all. I agree that the pointing is kind of stupid, but it doesn't bother me. The high fives have been a part of the game since I can remember (83), so it doesn't bother me.

Funny you mention it because I was just recently thinking about this one. It does annoy me, but only when it's an obvious call.
Like in one recent game three players of the same team collided while trying to get a defensive rebound and bounced the ball out of bounds. While there were no players of the opposing team nearby, all three of them pointed towards the other side anyway. :rolleyes
