It'll be a long 2 hours waiting for this game. Butterflies all over again. Thank God you started the blog! :lol

Absolutely they can do it. The Spurs have probably been doing nothing but watching film for 3 days and are ready. Bruce is going to shut down Ray Allen and Timmy's gonna drive Jerome James nuts with his refusal to lose his cool. It's going to be a great game.

I am calling it right now: A HUGE game from Tony Parker !!! :)

Also, I think that at least during one of these games, either Bruce or Allen (even both!) will get ejected.

I was watching the pre-game show for the Heat vs Wiz game. Guest analyst was Baron Davis and he was saying that when you get done playing against Bruce Bowen, you have scratches all over you--and he'll leave the game with 2 fouls. And out of all people, Bill Walton defended Bruce saying that no way is he a dirty defender!

Needless to say, I am very excited about the Bruce vs Allen matchup.

I'm all juiced up. I'm just about ready to head to the bar since I don't have cable. I'm glad this one is at 8:00. Those 10:30 games can make it tough to get through the next day at work.

I think the first game is going to be close as the teams feel each other out. I'll be looking for some key things in the beginning to key us in about how the series is going to go:

- How healthy does Tim look?
- Can the Sonics shut down the paint?
- Can the Spurs do a better job of defending the perimeter?
- Will Jerome James become useless again?
- Will Rashard be slowed by Barry/Manu/Big Dog?

Brodels

Also, will Seattle come out playing some sort of zone?

You could've took them out with about eight minutes to play in the fourth.

What I want to know is, is a 20 point or less victory at the end of the night, convincing? Considering that the Sonics had two big players out early and the fact that the Spurs put it in "coast" in the second half? Just a thought.

it was a victory for the spurs, I'm not knocking that, it's just being up by nearly 35 points, and win by 22 when at times the lead was down to under 20 during that second half wasn't a good sign. They need to go out and step on a team that's lost its' key scorer in Allen.

An ugly win is still a win. But the Spurs lost the domination they had displayed with some very poor play in the second half and the Sonics won't be intimidated by this game. They''ll rationalize that their best scorers were hurt and the Spurs still couldn't increase their lead.
