Big Braves fan here. Really on a roll. Have won 12 of the last 15 games. Starting pitching is really dominating again. Bullpen needs some work. Offense coming around.

Just swept the Stros today with a 16-0 beat down. Hampton even had a solo shot to lead off the 8th.

On to the Rockies....

glad to see another braves fan here. :)

we're playing well now but i still worry about smoltz's health and our bullpen. our bats looked good today, but i'd also like to have some more consistent hitters.

i feel good about the nl east, since i think the marlins and mets will experience longer droughts than we will. the playoffs are a different story.

I hate the Braves. They did look good in their 16-0 win over Houston Sunday though. I am pulling for Florida out of the NL East.

They still got that closer that blows every game? I'm a big Braves fan, unfortunately Summer school, work and the NBA playoffs keep my attention for now.

ya, Dan Kolb is the closer your talkin bout. He's stuggled a bit this year but has still saved 10 out of 12 so far. I think he will improve once his control improves. He had 60 saves in 67 opportunities the last 2 years so i feel he'll do fine when he gets his usual good control back.

screw the braves.

they can goto hell, but then again Bobby Cox already has a signed deal with Satan himself, so they cant really be that far from there already.

Having said that, I only have this to say to all Braves fans:

Since the Braves run began...

World Series titles

Atlanta: 1

Florida: 2

Next.

tell the marlins to at least make an attempt to defend a championship sometime in our lifetime.

last year in our year of defending, we were over .500

injuries and hurricanes doomed us in september last year.

poor play doomed you actually. that and your front office's inability to keep key players.

The Braves can win the NL East every single year for all I care, but all that matters is they are sitting at home watching the better team, the MARLINS, win another World Series.

which has happened ... uh, twice. yes, that's one more than the braves ... but we're always in the race. the marlins aren't.

this year they are obviously. i was referring to their history.

this year the marlins are a better team, in my opinion. still, i think the braves will win the nl east.

The National League East is surprisingly close this year, i'd figure the Marlins or Braves would have really run away with it by now, but its pretty close.

no doubt. their farm systems are top notch

Spurs Rule

If not for the farm, the Braves would be about 10 games back. I don't know too many teams that can lose 60% of their starters on DL, Chipper on DL, and in some games start 7 rookies and be out only a few games. Hopefully these guys can get well and comeback and make a run.

Smoltz has pitched more innings than any other pitcher in the majors. Who would have thought that at the start of the season? Smoltz pitches another complete game, this time against the Fish tonight.

Andruw tied with D. Lee with 20 HR in NL.

Braves win 5-0.

I'm more of a Cubs fan than Braves, but I grew up watching both when cable first became available in our area.

A lot of so-called fans can knock the Braves for only having just one World Series title to show for all of their division titles and penannts, but you have to admit...they must be doing something right, to have a streak like this still going in this age of free agency, etc.
