Barkley just picked the Suns to win the series on the postgame...but said he's going with his "heart" not his "head." :lol....Kenny on the other hand said he's going with his "head" and picking the Spurs to win..

I love Blair in this series.....he will eat all of the suns big men in there....none of which are particularly good rebounders

If you thought the Mavs guards had a hard time with the spurs guards...the suns are even more mis-matched with the spurs.

I don't think Barkley thinks the suns will win based on his body language

Amare is the only concern. Way too quick for dice and tim, way to strong for bonner.

True. But Amare has always gotten his against the Spurs in the Playoffs. The guy has always put up between 25 and 40 points...

Yeah I was thinking that. I think he has the highest ppg avg of anyone ever against the spurs. I say the spurs just handle it like dirk...they know they can't stop him, just make him work for his pts, keep him off the foul line, and stop everyone else

Yeah but when he's in there against guys like Channing Frye he needs to not sag in from the three pt line defense, something he had problems with in the regular season.

C'mon, TP absolutely raped Phoenix in 2008. There's no reason to take anything away from his past performances because of the horrid season he's had this year.

I think you have a point, this could be the toughest Suns team defensively the SPurs will have faced yet. One sequence of plays that caught my eye was in the closing minutes vs. the Blazers, Amare had the ball and made a strong move to the baasket but at the last minute he threaded an excellent pass to a cutting Richardson for a layup. Then the duo did it again on the very next play.
This was a shock to me, Amare actually giving up the ball in scoring position and executing great passes to a cutting teammate. This adds another wrinkle to his game that the Spurs coaching staff will no doubt have to address.

:lol Same shit, different year.

Don't be fooled. Their def eff isn't all that different from year's past.

Only major difference from past encounters with the Suns is that the Spurs are no longer an elite defensive team(def eff was 9th this year). Our offense is better though(less reliable role players but more options to score 20+ a night).

I really liked Dice's d so far, but I think he is outmatched against Amare on his own. I think they take their chances in the begining, but Im sure he will be doubled during the series. Hopefully we can get enough pressure for him to make bad decisions out of the double.
